This is made to be photographed for a design magazine! I love how it's all in the same/similar colour families but not alienating or cold. I'm not good at matching and complementing colours so I think it's amazing that you have that innate ability to warm up neutrals and any other palette without it looking harsh. I absolutely loved the dark window frames, and the coffee table was just genius! Watching you cut and put it together was glorious! A really fave detail was Kinsley matching everything in the room 😄 I love how peaceful he looked while napping, almost like he'd done all the hard work lol. Thanks for always inspiring people to be more creative and to think outside the norm about design. I can honestly say what a great feeling it is to get fresh furniture and to upgrade your things. Sometimes I have to get the cheaper options at first because it’s difficult and expensive to get what I really want but when you finally work hard to afford the items you really want it can totally change your attitude towards a space! I'm curious how the original macrame pieces would look instead of the too large art. The art competes with the TV, so I think something other than art on either side. I 've noticed that designers are against duplicate couch pillows because it gives the impression they came with the couch and that somehow is undesirable. My last thought is a furry throw on the couch would look less messy than something soft and go nice with the furry chair, but in a different color.

Great transformation! Agree it looks more elegant. Love the idea of adding gold to the art to bring in the mirror OR green to complement the tv leaf art which looks great. The art you were imitating used different textures, like gauze, too, if you want that look. You plaster it on with gesso or mod podge and paint over it, but what you did looks great and a little gold or green would be perfect! Much prefer this to the macrame which looks more "college dorm" to me. Your pup Kinsley is just adorable! The couch looks awesome and love the coffee table top! Love the pillows and throw, too! I painted the wood trim on the sliding door to my deck a few months ago and I love it! It’s like Macennas window in the fact that it has the white trim border around it. It actually looks way better than the old brown wood.

I actually painted all my old windows in my 1940s home black, knowing we'd eventually replace them anyway. Anyways we just got brand new windows and we ended up getting black ones because we loved it so much!
