It's so obvious Hannes wrote that drum part. It reeks of Grossmann. Diepold crushed it though, he's real damn good.

Yes!! David deserves this video and Obscura. Have been following him for a long time. I am so happy to hear him play with Obscura. They made an excellent choice!!!

David is superhuman. I really enjoy watching him play. His blast snare hits are so accurate I feel like he could play on a 3 inch snare and still hit the mark every time.

never thought of the difference between push pull and open close always though of them as the same. I learned something. i half expected you to say the difference was open close vs a 2 part moeller -esque punp. .. very interesting.

i am surprised that you didnt mention nechtan/wanja gröger referring to push-pull/open-close techniques, he also gets insane speeds out of this style. thanks for all this free information. i use these techniques for doublestrokes and paradiddles, sometimes also hammerblasts, but to get clean alternating singlestrokes with this is so hard! XD again, thanks a lot for this detailed explanations Marthyn! keep it on! \m/

Catching that groove with the head bob, nice. I was wondering when why he switched pedals. Isn't the equivalent of changing one supercar for another? Thanks for the video on David!

David is one of those people who are just better than you in every single way and of course I'm speaking of myself. Been watching his videos for years, always thought, "yeah... I'll never be _that_ good at anything". Very humbling experience I have to tell you. He is inspiring though, so its not just a complete kick in the nuts.
