That concert was the first big gig I ever went to, and still probably the best. I was slightly younger than you, but there are parallels. I had just started out on guitar too and was banging away on a knock off Strat. Extreme's set was the highlight for me. It was such an opportunity for them to put their own music on the global map, but they were classy enough to tip their hat to queen. But they did it so well! Nuno had a new fan that day! Love that you've done this video!

@@craigfarleymusician8481 My pleasure. I’m not a guitar player but I always appreciated how Nuno interpreted the original guitar parts as well as the synths, making for truly rockin’ arrangements for that medley. Can you explain to us non guitar players what Nuno did, stylistically and composition wise, especially for more synth based songs like I Want to Break Free and Radio Gaga?

Hi Craig! What a really nice idea to make a video about that! I have similar memories about that concert and I feel the same about Extreme and Nuno! I got to know them in autum 1990 and I was in the United States then (I am from Germany). My host family's son was an Extreme fan and I got to know the first album before Pornograffitti. I was also Eddie Fan before and then came Nuno along... In 1992 there came out the "Rest in peace" video and I saw that Nuno has got a new guitar in red. I have discovered and tried out the Padouk-model in the Frankfurt Music fair and I fell in love with that guitar! I could not effort to buy it and in Oktober 1992 I started to build it by myself and it has become as good as the original. Cannot post a picture here. You might find it in the FB group. I wanted to have particular Nuno's guitar, because it has a special recognizable sound! Thanks for sharing your memories and for the good job finding out how to play the medley, you nailt it! Yes you should make a vdeo about how to play it!!!! Thx and hope you will read this! Regards Malte

Hi . Thanks for writing your memories and information here, really good to read 😊 I also loved the Paduak model N4 he played on the 3 Sides tour . I managed to buy one of those in 2006, but again , I sadly sold it the same time as my original Alder N4 . They really do look stunning
