God willing I'll be living in my fathers hometown Clear Water in the next 5 years. Saw an amazing 2 bedroom 2 full baths, pool condo for 47 thousand. My 4 bedroom bungalow in Scarborough cost eight hundred grant. I could buy a couple decent homes in Florida for what I spend on my home LOL. I'm in Newfoundland and can tell you it was intense, we received over 90 cm here in Bonavista, while St. John's received over 75cm! Oh, and the winds, ya they were clocked at 160km/h!! I lived in Toronto for 30 years and remember when they got clobbered and called in the army too and this 2020 storm made that storm look simple, lol.
@lvfreeAdventures4 жыл бұрын
@@ItsWillLee Imagine if the same storm comes to Toronto - which is home for about 6 million people, financial center of Canada, and so many other headquarters and businesses... that would create chaos!
@ItsWillLee4 жыл бұрын
@@lvfreeAdventures It would be pandemonium if Toronto ever received a storm of this magnitude! I was living in Toronto when the Army was called in for the BIG storm a few years back, co-workers here were always making fun of it...Then this Storm happened LOL. I will say though, the addition of the winds here in Newfoundland, and the houses in St John's being jammed together on very narrow streets with some of the steepest inclines in the world, makes traversing them a task in itself without any snow lol. The plow operators are earning their pay this storm. One big difference between Toronto & St. John's, is St. John's was never designed for vehicles, ever period lol, so plow operators already have a challenge removing snow from a "regular" snow fall, lol.

@9284vr3 жыл бұрын
@Lourdes A.J. Ramos...NOT "brutal" at all (usually) in southern Canada where the vast majority of Canadians live...Buffalo New York for example gets tons more snow than downtown Toronto because of "lake effect" snow whch sweeps in across Lake Erie from the west and dumps on Buffalo. Downtown Toronto (as opposed to north and west of Toronto) seems to be moderated somewhat by being on the north shore of Lake Ontario and the normal wind directions.
