Thanks for the motivation Emily! I do have a question though - would you say that when your kids were younger (between 0-4 yrs) you were able to keep up this well with cleaning? I love your response emily! It really is about surviving those early days and soaking them up soon they will be treading muddy football boots in and raiding the fridge every 20mins (teenagers) 😅 I have a big gap between my 2boys and my toddler. She makes more mess then they ever did and there is only 18months gap between the boys and a 9year gap with my last. I used beat my self up when my boys were babies I’d try and clean everyday and wear myself out silly then a lovely woman gave me the BEST ADVICE 🙌🏼 and I still follow it today, she said “don’t worry about the mess it doesn’t worry about you, head to the park or just sit and cuddle them let them sleep on you and don’t feel guilty cleaning isn’t important & the dishes will still be there tomorrow but your little ones grow bigger every day!” Something clicked for me when she said it.. I went from a neat freak to a slob lol but my boys had my full attention and i started to enjoy being a mom so much more taking that pressure off myself. We put so much pressure on ourselves as moms and being a mom is tough on its own. Your doing amazing just bringing two little ones up ❤️❤️❤️ sending lots of love your way xxx

I loved your checklist Em, I like having a clean home but I haven't been as stringent as you. I also swap over my summer / winter clothes and then clean out my wardrobes vacuum and wash them completely. If I have any perfume bottles that are almost empty I put them in with the storage containers to give the clothes a nice scent while their away...I love the spring clean time..it my main declutter time and you always motivate me to keep going. Great video Emily. I also loathe cleaning the tumble dryer filter. I also empty the washing machine overflow compartment from stagnant water every month and clean that outlet. Also run the washing machine on a 90 degree cycle with machine cleaner every 2 months at least. Also try to remember cleaning the filters on our Dyson vacuums and the hairdryer. Very satisfying once it’s done!

I have a phone soap (the UV cleaning box you mentioned). It’s excellent! We had a small one at first, but we quickly outgrew it. We now have one big enough for an ipad. That also means that a lot of bigger things can be cleaned in there. It has been fantastic during the pandemic!

So I just followed the link and invested in the dyson! 🙈 It’s not exactly a bargain, but my daughter suffers horribly with eczema, dust allergies and hay fever. We also live close to a busy road… you literally can’t put a price on good health right. It’s arriving tomorrow and I can’t wait to clean the air in our home to hopefully help ease her allergies. Hope dyson give you some credit, you sold it beautifully.. 😉

Hi Emily! Thank you for all the motivation I need to start spring cleaning. I have one of those sanitizing boxes for my phone, keys, debit and credit cards. I also got a bigger box for larger items. I love them both. I even bought one of the smaller ones for the cell phones for my niece at college. They really are great. Especially when my son had the stomach bug that was going around his school last week we were able to put things in the bigger box and sanitize them. Have a wonderful day.

I like to empty the water from the dryer reservoir into my washing machine to use for the next load. I feel a little pleased with myself for saving water. 😊 see you next time. 💕

Hi Emily, great video! Whenever I use non transpatent storage bags I put luggage tags on the handles and write down on the tags what is in the bag. You could also write just a number and make a picture on your phone and give it the same number :)

I’m so motivated! Thank you for sharing your spring cleaning. The Sahara dust got us too. I just washed my car to make it so I can actually see through the wind screen. The next morning when I went to use my car, it was covered in a liiight but visible layer of pollen. Hahaha I can’t win! The Dyson fan/humidifier looks of interest to me. I suffer with severe asthma that is triggered by allergies.

When I clean the vent on the dryer, I use the vacuum to get out all the loose bits of lint first. Cuts way down on the cleaning time.

Hi Emily l dont spring clean lam not a big fan of cleaning but who is right. I cleaned yesterday wipe down carbeds in the kitchens vacum moped cleaned bathroom aswell bought new rugs mats for bathroom my bathroom is so small only have a shower in it so this is what l have. But looks better when its cleaned l wipe the walls in the kitchen too its been soo long since lve done it.. love the songs you play also l admire you you xo such a great clean up. 😁❤
