When I saw Volker Pispers for the first time, I was literally shocked by everything he said in all his shows. But the man is highly educated, everything that comes out of his mouth, you can read all about it, it's public information that we have simply ignored all these years.

thats to blame on the media. some of the things pispers said should have been top news and started major debates. but most of the stuff was released somewhere in the back pages. its like die anstalt. yeah lets put a political cabaret program on friday evening 11p.m..... thats when most young people are out socialising. thats when we will bring the educational stuff on tv. so that only loners and old people see it. this doesnt happen randomly. this happens because there are too many politicians in the media councils. they are not interested in balanced news and the truth. NGL still better to have public media then to depend on cnn or fox news. but there ist still a lot of room for improvement.

Caberet is not the same in any country or language. The German Kabarett is definitely different from anyting else I know on this planet. In English cabaret is often something like erotic dance, for example.

@@pakabe8774 Well, the thing is, germany technically also has that form of cabaret, which is the usual use of the word. Apparently (from what I've read) it started much as the thing you describe with small parts of satire. But when the ban on public criticism was lifted at the end of WW1 and with the stuff that happened in Germany in the Weimar Republic (eg Hyperinflation) hings became much more cynical and political. The of course came another time of repression for them, and after WW2 the allied forces pushed WW2 and the atrocities of the Nazis as material for the re-emerging cabaretists and things went from there.

Tbh Volker Pispers is probably one of the best and well informed political comedian we had in the recent history. Hagen Rether and Georg Schramm would be two other examples of exceptional political cabarettists. If you want dry, disturbing humor go for these two but they are quite heavy at times.

Can't agree more on the choice of suggestions here. Schramm, Pispers and Rether are indeed the crème de la crème of political satire. I do really enjoy that Germany has a vivid and long standing tradition of that particular type of comedy. Whether it does something real or not is up for debate. Sadly none of them are active anymore and so no material for current events is being made.

Ja, Volker Pispers hat die letzten Wochen irgendwie eine Reaction-Welle in USA, UK und afrikanischen Ländern erfahren. Keine Ahnung, was der Auslöser war. Jedenfalls gut so. Möglichst viele in aller Welt sollen heute den kritischen Blick üben, den er damals mit uns teilte. Hoffen wir, dass er ein großes Echo findet und seine Art der Satire und des Blicks auf die Welt weitere Popularität erfährt. Es kann die Menschheit nur zum Guten verändern.

Greetings from Germany, i found a statement on Volker Pispers' offical website, where he announced that he wont coming back to stage anymore and that he enjoys being not in the media anymore. Here is the statement in german, if you want to read it in Pispers own words: Nach 5 Jahren Auftrittspause steht jetzt fest, dass ich nicht auf die Bühne zurückkehren werde. Viele werden das nicht verstehen und sehr enttäuscht sein. Das weiß ich aus den vielen Mails, die mich in den letzten Jahren erreicht haben. Ich darf bei dieser Gelegenheit allen, die noch klar denken können und nicht irgendwelchen Verschwörungstheorien anheim gefallen sind, versichern, dass es meine ureigene Entscheidung ist und ich nie von irgendjemand unter Druck gesetzt worden bin. I was at one of his shows in Bremen in (I think it was) 2004 or so. It was a big hall with over 1000 seats. When he came out, he first said this: “Is there anybody here, that attends a show like this for the first time? Yes? Then let me explain how this works. When you get home tonight, you take a small box, put your ticket in there and hide it under your bed. And everytime, you attend another show like this, you put the ticket in that box. Because when the capitalist system finally breaks down, and they are coming for you - yeah, you may laugh now - but when they are coming and ask you, what your role was in the system, you can pull that box out, show your tickets and say: I was against it. I was in the resistance.” Then spoke about german politics. Our schools, our bureaucracy and stuff like taht. Everyone laughed, it was fun, everyone had a good time. About one hour in, he took a break and when he came back out, he talked about the ugly (but true) stuff. Like the things, you see in this video and even worse. In the end, almost every other seat was empty. The people came there to have fun, not to look into a mirror. This was not what they wanted. I had the time of my life.

Well, that black Humor is Rooted in Germany as well. You find it in the North of Germany, especially where "Platt" is still spoken. Tales, Jokes and such on "Plattdeutsch" are often even way darker than the British ones. Like, the Story where a Man murders his Wife and Kids brutally for always talking back annoyingly. After having suffocated his Kids and stabbing her in the heart, she rise from the Dead to correct him that he should have poisoned her for now the Floor is ruined and he takes the Hammer, caving her Head in while she complains about him causing ruckus so much the Kids may wake up as well which drives him entirely mad and he kills himself. Last Scene is the Gendarme who inspects the Scene and claim this happening way too often and men should help their Wifes - according to his wife. And that is one of the the "easy going" Tales out there.

@@Rabijeel I`m from Northern Germany and I know that only a few people over 90 can talk "Plattdeutsch". Plattdeutsch has nothing to do with "humor" it`s an old dialect. Basically, we Germans have a different language-/discussion cultur. If you catch someone lying, for example, we say so and don`t keep quiet about it...not even with an politican. Facts count and that may seems a bit strange to other nations with different language cultur. However, this does not save us from beeing fooled by those of the top.

Thank you for showing Volker Pispers to your audience! I'm German and I've seen quite a few of his cabaret programs and he's still my favorite. I'm happy that his satire is starting to make it's way overseas. I don't think Cancel Culture would've affected him, because he attacks people in power, as is typical for cabaret, while Dave gets "cancelled" by the Alphabet People. There's the chiché that Germans aren't funny, but it's simply not true. The translation is occasionally somewhat lacking, but so far nothing more than some minor details were lost, e.g. when Hussein said he had to retreat from Persia the translation missed Pisper's line "I've had so many losses". Btw: When Pispers retired he said something like: "Until now my wife had to live without me. Now we'll see if she can live with me." Also, regarding comedy: Pispers apparently doesn't consider himself a comedian, because when he was asked if he felt threatened by all that new competition from comedians, he was like: "You might as well ask a five star chef if he feels threatened by the newly-opened dog food shop over there."

He is retired. I don't think he will come back. Germans did not learn, that frustrated him. He could tour with the same text for 20 years. Sometimes people understood passages only years later. he did not go around for 20 years with the same text, but it would have been possible with slight variations. He was outstanding in his sharpnes and laying bare the facts.

he used the basically same concept for almost ten years with just some little updates and adjustments over the time. And also left stage almost ten years ago. So many of the refernces to daily politics are about 15 years old. therefor maybe difficult to understand from today's perspective, especially bei foreign listeners without knowing details of german politics back then. But even the average german youngster will miss to get considerable parts of it. too bad, he missed the last years in his program. Just Syria, Trump und Ukraine would have filled another full evenig show...

Volker Pispers was just right with his sense of dark humorism, a really great comedian or cabaret artist but unfortunately only for a smaller, more intelligent audience who got greater knowledge and insightments about politics as well as a lil bit about economics...all the facts he brought I can just verify that they are true, even the numbers he mentioned used to be very accurate...Greetz from Germany (und interessant wieviele Deutsche sich hier tummeln, da hat wohl der YT - Algorithmus wieder seine Finger im Spiel lol)

Unfortunately he completely failed during the pandemic. I would have expected him to see and call out all the crimes against humanity, that were committed by our governments. I'd have expected him to realise what's going on with society on a psychological level. Instead he just did what everybody did: put all the blame on those, who dared to think for themselves. Shame!

So that's fine. However, nobody forced Pispers to issue a statement against critics of the Covid agenda, he did it by choice. If it was cowardice, he could have kept quiet. He didn't, so that makes him an accomplice.

In Germany we (kind of) draw a line between comedy and satire. Satirists usually try to hit a much more moral, social, economic and/or political nerve while still keeping it funny and witty. Comedy really is just that. Standup like american standup do as well. And just as well we have a few good ones, many mediocre ones and also quite a few really, really bad ones. Volker Pispers always was a pretty left hardliner in terms of social political satire. Don't get me wrong - I think his commentary was in most cases spot on but he really was more like the fun teacher talking about terrible material than an actual comedian.

That's not really "extremely dark german humour". The genre is satire or even more specific "German political Kabarett". Political Kabarett is meant to criticize the political system, the goverment, the authorities and the establishment. To do so it of course has to be based on facts. I guess the idea behind it is, that most people are more interested in fun and laughing , than in history lessons and political debates. As the jesters in medival already knew, people are also more open to critics if you make them laugh with it. Volker Pispers humour is provocative and sometimes quite offensive, but the dark part is the dark truth behind it.

The last ones are absolute shit and pure propaganda. The whole show felt forced, especially after the one they alread did about Ukraine and how awful all the propaganda about it was. The last one just repeated these lies - it felt like the were forced to do it or lose the show completely. Not that peopel care about the Anstalt. the 911 attacks really happened. the air traffic controller even asks for millitary assistance but the response was far too slow. My guess is they thought that the Terrorists would force the plane to land on an airport and then ask for money and other stuff in exchange for the lives of the hostages. Because thats how plane hijacking was done in the past. That Terrorists would just crash the plane and kill everybody including themselves was new at that Time. Volker Pispers WAS one of our very very very best "Kabarettisten" (Kabarett = "political cabaret" = political satire made by "comedians"), which has a long tradition in Germany, at least one hundred years after WW I. Kabarett means political satire about the currently political situation in Germany and other countries. During the Nazi Regime (1933 - 1945) Kabarett was forbidden because the German fascists did not want any opposition or critics. After WW II "Kabarett" rose again for instance in Munich ("Münchner Lach- und Schießgesellschaft", a group of famous and great actors and actresses created by Sammy Drechsel) or in devided Berlin ("Berliner Stachelschweine", a famous West-Berlin group). -Volker Pispers was born January 18th 1958 in Northrhine-Westfalia, later he studied to become a teacher. At the beginning of the 1980s he began acting with several ensembles. In 1986 he quit his job as a teacher to start a new carrer: "Kabarettist". He published on stage in front of audience several self-made political satires (Programme) and had also the same subjects: weakening of the German retirement payment system and the consequences on society, poverty in society, the poltical scene in Bonn (before reunion capital of West-Germany and the seat of German government) and later Berlin (the "new" capital of reunited Germany and the "new" seat of German government), which means critics of the German ruling parties (I should better say: of nearly all poltical parties represented in German BUNDESTAG: SPD, CDU/CSU, FDP, Grüne and AfD), critics of printing media, its concentration and its influences and brainwash on the German society (for instance "Axel Springer Group" [they bought the poltical American magazine "POLTICO" some time ago and stumbled over a sex scandal in Germany which had effects and reactions also in the US], "Funke Medien", "Burda", etc.), NATO and wars of the US, the global finance system concentrated on Wall Street and its influence on politicians and politics all over the world, IWF (Der "Internationale Währungsfond") aka IMF (International Monetary Fund) and EZB ("Europäische ZentralBank" = "European CentralBank"), critics of Capitalism and the US, warnings about the poltical and social breakdown of our societies all over the world because our kind of captialism is NOT the right answer for all people in the entire world to have a good life, exploitation of poor people in Germany and all over the world, too-low-wages and the question: How can somebody survive with such-a-ridiculuos-wage, etc. On December 8th 2015 Volker Pispers declared the end of his carrer in his last programme "...bis neulich" ("...see you later") and said that he surrendered (gave up) because NOTHING had changed in our republic, which means he considered his work useless. I was at that time in one of his appearences on stage (LIVE he was georgeous, marvelous & terrific like a pop star!!!). I am very sad that such a great man declared the end of his carrer, we need "society-mirrors" like him, not only in Germany, also the US need men like Pispers. It’s the same pattern every time: They don‘t like what Pispers says but they know they can‘t debunk it (cause it’s true), so they say something like „he tears things out of context“ or „he leaves out a lot“, which allegedly dramatically changes the message. Then someone asks something like „just interested, what did he leave out specifically“, and then: Silence. Or at best some things that Pispers actually didn’t mention but which doesn‘t change anything in any meaningful way but were missing mostly because, well, a two hour program simply is too short to mention every single last tangent.

The freedom of speech between Germany and the US are in principle quite similar, it ends where the spoken words qualify as a committed crime. it just happens there are more crimes associated with speech in Germany. e.g. calling the head of a foreign country a sodomizer of goats is a crime in Germany. though it was confirmed that you can call the Turkish president exactly this if you can prove in court that your poem/satire was a piece of art and not defamation. If you want to watch more recent political satire, then I recommend you to watch Jan Böhmermann, "Die Heute Show" or "Die Anstalt", these are all pretty big, ongoing cabarett shows, so the satire is more about recent political events. Sadly Volker Pispers doesn't perform anymore.

That it was possible to happen though was due to human error or out right incompetence mixed with an unhealthy dose of arrogance. Even the officially measured speed is not possible at the low flight altitude, just as little as the aluminum cans can fly through high-mass double-walled steel girders almost unhindered, including floor, ceiling, partition walls ect and after more than 60 meters even with a intact tip of the nose on the other side again sticking out. Take a look at plane accidents or the construction of a Boeing, the thin outer walls, etc. The alleged hijackers could not fly and NO pilot would intentionally fly his passengers and others with them to certain death. Makes absolutely no sense. Logical thinking.

So neither are 3 pilots (Towers + Pentagon) flown in there with seeing eyes. They're not stupid and allegedly threatened by box cutters plus passengers (that's clear), nor could it have been the terrorists. Neither is it physically possible for the planes to penetrate the towers through DOZENS of steel beams and STEEL CONCRETE. where even a BIRD can make a dent in such an airplane during flight!!!!! FACT! I saw a crash test (YT) where a MORE STABLE MILTARY JET was crashed into a very thick concrete wall at high speed (NO steel beams mind you). What happened? The jet NO LONGER EXISTED and the concrete wall WAS STILL THERE. Ok, just one more example: The alleged suicide bombers shown with photos and names should all be dead afterwards? Right? How then were SEVERAL of you able to prove yourself ALIVE AFTERWARDS and testify that you had NOTHING anything to do with the ATTACK? Was in a German video.... Of course, they also saw the media in their countries and were shocked to see their photo. They also reported it to the USA, who allegedly apologized in part, but continued to read people on their terror list with photos. One who was also said to be there happened to be working for the CIA before, consuming alcohol and drugs heavily, which a radical Muslim DON'T DO. NOT ONE, the alleged terrorists were even on the passenger lists (Not One of this in the List) and one would have to say more about the lists etc. You found the alleged confession letter (testament) of one of the terrorists WHERE??? In a suitcase that was supposed to get on the plane and then explode on the plane with you, bursting into flames. But the suitcase would have been forgotten...forgot to take it on the plane. So the letter of confession, which was supposed to be found, but exploded on the plane and of all things you forgot to bring on the plane? Very believable (irony). THINK.... isn't it your forte?

@@SolistFrankHerrmann I was thinking that in 2022 noone would be stupid enough to believe this 9/11 conspiracy stuff you spew out, so I felt like I got trolled by you and your foreposter. Seems I was wrong, sadly. You spoke of PC Simulation first, Flight Simulator is a PC Simulation - hence the name. My take on this was sarcasm. Back in 2001 USA had as much background checks for flight training as it has for guns to this day. Spoiler: none. So it was easy to get the training. And it doesn't cost the world, so even a small terrorists cell could finance it. All it takes is a Visa. But even that is besides the point. Flying an Aircraft isn't all too hard, starting and landing is the real challenge. Once the bird is in the air, as long as you have some basic knowledge from a few flight lessons, even you or me could do it. With a little bit of instruction from a pilot, we could learn it in 5 minutes to keep an aircraft in the air, even a big one. Steering it into a building (sky scraper) wouldn't be too difficult either. Hitting something like the Pentagon though is a bit more tricky, but for someone who had a little bit of practice very doable. You are spewing out more nonsense than I can debunk in one comment. Look up for "Debunking 9/11 Conspiracy Theories" here on YT. Or better yet, pick what part of the conspiracy you want to see evidence for and add "debunking" to it and you will find a video. I don't have neither the time, nor the patience or expertise to debunk you myself. But many of those people you'll find by my suggestion have spent enough time and have aquired the skills to represent the evidence properly.
