Fun fact. In 1999, the last year for the Saleen s351 it was the second highest horsepower car you could buy with a warranty in the world. The only car with more power was the Lamborghini Diablo.

My fathers business partner in the 90s bought one of the Saleen s351 brand new in 95 it was a black coupe, I’ll never forget how fast that car was. He has the money for a Ferrari, lambo or even an Aston but not one of them kicked you in the pants in the 90s like that super charged Windsor.

Back in 1999 I bought a 1994 Saleen S351 Convertible. I'm not usually a convertible fan, despite living in Florida, because it's just too damn hot to drive around baking in the hot sun and high humidity though they're nice at night in the the south. It was white (not usually my cup of tea) with a tan top and interior (definitely not my cup of tea). Initially, I thought I got a good deal on it. When I bought it there was a wobble at highway speed but the dealership (a highly-rated Ford dealership that I can't name after some litigation) told me their balance machine was out and I could come back in a week or two and they would check it. I went to a speed shop (a very well-known one that I can't name... that's right, after some litigation) who told me the car was "perfect" and a "steal at that price" and that the wobble was a warped wheel. They said the previous owner had probably hit a curb. I ordered new wheels from Saleen (expensive but I wanted all four to be "fresh" and brand new-looking since they were chrome) and waited the 8-10 weeks for their arrival. After putting the wheels on and dealing with the balance, alignment, etc., etc. I still had that wobble. I began to think it might be a rotor or joint issue so I took it to a body shop that specialized in race cars. They did a lot of work for NHRA guys. They had the car for an afternoon and called me to come back. They then informed, and showed, me that my car had been pieced together with at least three bodies. They said the car would never roll right without serious "surgery" and I should get rid of it immediately. The aforementioned litigation happened and I got out of the car though it still cost me a few dollars with lawyers and such. Be very careful with sellers out there no matter who they are. Stay safe everyone. Cheers.

@@FiveO Sadly, I loved the car but never replaced it. As a side note, never trust Carfax. They claimed the car had a clean title, with one owner, and no claims. I later found out there had been three owners (the VIN was from the front half of the frame - no idea on the other two parts). Carfax used to have a "if we're wrong we'll buy the car" policy when they started. I sent the paperwork to them and they refused to back up their policy and, eventually, started dodging my calls. I've never trusted Carfax again. Just be super-careful with used vehicles. Stay safe. Cheers.

Also that's how you do a burnout I've always tried to explain to you to push the clutch in give it gas and come up extremely fast on the clutch pretty soon hopefully we all have to learn how to sidestep your clutch when racing😁👊
