I love these bits: tubes trial inserted the wrong way, Velcro pad inserted the wrong way. Sod’s Law, and so honest, not a sleek post production with everything airbrushed out, just truth. I learned from those examples. Also, when I get really cold I definitely think even slower. GREAT VIDEO!

I've watched youtubers pack mounds of snow all around the outside base of the tent when it's very wind and cold. You pack the snow up so the bottom rim of the tent is embedded into the snow and you can't see the bottom of the tent. It prevents the wind going through the inside of the tent. Looks like the packed snow might have been helpful in your conditions. Enjoyed the video.

@@mrspeigle1 third this i call it a snow curb, i usually try and go 12 inches
@mrspeigle13 жыл бұрын
@@jscudds Yup and if you've got the time energy and available resources you can drop some saplings to create additional wind breaks, or cut and pack the snow in such a way as to assist in creating wind breaks. Basically you build a snow fort around your tent To give it shelter from the rest of the wind. This isn't always viable but it's a possibility to keep in mind when you're doing this kind of camping.
