hello !! just finishing installing this kit and love the finished result. i have installed two of your clicky kits previously on a jdm-055 and one clicky on a non-supported board and all 3 installations went smooth and loved those results. to be honest, in having done previous installs of just the clicky kits, i didnt watch your whole clicky kit video before i started installing it. i am installing on a jdm-055 board. my first issue in installing was that the inserts for the L2/R2 kept popping out and would not stay in. it was like trying to keep a grasshopper still lol. watching your install video post install, i see that you clip the L2/R2 triggers, maybe this fixes this issue? dont know, i never clipped mine. instead having spare/extra parts left over from my previous “just clicky” kits, i used those L2/R2 inserts instead, they didnt pop out like the new ones. i did however have a clearance issue with these inserts, but i used a nail file to sand down their flat surface a bit and now they work just fine. i also installed the sdp buttons and found that after complete reassembly, a couple if the d-pad buttons and a couple of the face buttons did not work. i loosened the 2 back buttons closest to the L2/R2 buttons about a quarter of a turn and now those buttons work fine too. i am ‘extreme’ly happy with the final result ... i guess if i ever have to take the controller apart again i will sand down the sdp/face button inserts just a little bit. so for not following your instructions (lol) things i thought turned out great, my ending thoughts are great kit, fun to assemble, awesome to play with, maybe some very small tolerance issues, but nothing that cannot easily be worked around and for the first release version of the kit i think an awesome result. =:3

Installed these with ease. As a matter of fact they were so good I ended up ordering a second kit and a front housing. Being that I had recently got my hands on 10 brand new ps4 back button attachments, they work great wit h the shells I've ordered as well. So far my experience has been great and no problems so far.

hello. i use mine in conjunction with the sony back button attachment too. imho you get a very nice custom controller at a fraction of the cost. my first clicky kit install i had for about two years i think, the left joystick broke, so i removed the clicky kit from the broken controller and installed on a new jdm 55 board and the orig clicky kit is still going strong ... it outlived one controller already 😂

I cut the long rectangle at L2 and R2. Thus the clicky keys work. At the control cross and the buttons I left the rubber, which the two attached to each. However, you have to cut out the holes first, which is very easy, since they are practically given. Everything works. Thanks for this kit and I hope I could help.

Hello, i suggest to make the sensors which detect inputs on the new "clicky triggers kit" board larger because they tend not to pick up the inputs if you press the front buttons at the edges. It would be a perfect custom then ^^

I have this kit combined with the dawn 2.0 remap kit. Wanted to share that with this combined with trigger stops doesn’t make a difference if the trigger stops are enabled or disabled. It’ll still have less travel and have the mouse click feel. This kit is awesome! The only con I notice is that the D-Pad is a little harder to press. I gotta click it multiple times for it to feel more “broken in”. For the price point this isn’t a bad option. I wish I went with this instead of the scuf controller. That thing broke with 9 months of heavy use. Then the sticks started drifting really bad. Lol.

I found the reason for the problem people seem to be having that their R2 & L2 got stuck, is that the clear plastic that you put inside the trigger appears to be not compatible with all the trigger buttons on the ps4 controller, so the clear plastic is not thoroughly flushed into the trigger, so either they are not clicking right or they got stuck, so whenever you're in-game it will just always be pressed. Thanks for your feedback! The space inside the PS4 controller is just too narrow, so it's not possible to use the Omron switches if we don't break the front housing.

Is there a way to reduce the tolerances with the face buttons? Maybe Filing the rubber pads inside the buttons could help? They feel very stiff once the controller is closed with your full clicky custom.

no, you can see you would need to put the 2 flexibles circuit boards one over the other, cut the modded flexible circuit to get rid of the triggers contacts only. So it's not sure it would fit, and it's not sure it would work at all.

Hello. Do you just happen to sell click pads instead? I tried this, right trigger got stuck, tried to cut, trigger piece keeps falling out, and can't really adjust it without the pieces falling out. I installed this on a previously working remap kit controller. I'm having an issue where the remap isn't working on this clicky board. I get the blue light on the remap and the light blinks to confirm I've set a mapping but then after exiting the mapping function, the newly mapped button doesn't work on K1-K4 anywhere.

Just finished installing the kit. I went into madden and when I press my bumpers they switch inputs to my keyboard and make the game weird to play. Is there a way to fix this? Someone else mentioned it, but I'll pass it along: If your L2 and R2 buttons aren't clicking because the little clear pieces aren't staying in, use an OLD controller's L2 and R2 buttons. I assume like a gen 1 controller you might have gotten in like 2014. Worked well for me. But honestly Extreme Rate should do a little better pop

This WHOLE clicky kit is face buttons and shoulder buttons in one piece, so if you purchase this kit, don't purchase the clicky triggers kit again. If you combo the back buttons kit and the WHOLE clicky kit, you have to install the WHOLE clicky kit first.

I just installed this kit on my PS4 controller, bumpers and triggers feels good they are very responsive, but face buttons feel a little hard to hit, I don't know maybe it's just me. specially if you play claw like me, I use my index finger to press all 4 right face buttons and my finger hurts with these type of buttons, I like better the regular face buttons because they feel soft, clicky feels good but hard to me personally, if I had known I would have got only the bumper and triggers kit, I kinda regret 😅

So, would you guys ever consider releasing just a face kit for the DS4? The clicky kit released for the DualSense only covered the face buttons and I’m wanting to do something similar with my DS4. I only want to mod the dpad and face buttons.

You can just cut off the shoulder buttons part from this kit, and during the installation, don't take off the original conductive film from the controller, just lay the cut clicky kit on it, and also don't install the 4 tiny plastic inserts into the L1R1L2R2, and then that's the result you want.

@@MikeLaRock88 I only ever bought the face clicky kit for the DualSense. Never bothered with it the DS4, though I should look into that. But to be fair, I probably won’t. The switch for ‘up’ on my d-pad broke for the DualSense face clicky kit after just a few months.

Problems… I today installed the full clicky kit on the standard PS4 controller exactly per tuition video. But the spacers inside the L2/R2 buttons are too big, so the buttons stick on at all times. I note a few others had same problem… what’s the fix? Do I need to re-engineer / file then down myself, or do I write off the controller as a result of a bad purchase…? Little annoying…

Why did you change that circuit Board/foil thing? I understand mechanically altering the controller by clipping things off or stuffing stuff in. And (why) are they tactile/clicky?

The foil thing is a membrane with button pads on it, its the physical sensors that connect the buttons to the motherboard. The replacement membrane has clicky button sensors instead of soft rubber ones; you're literally changing the mechanism inside the button.

Because we used the silicone tact switch, it will make the switches press/sound like the mouse click.
