Extremists trying to tear us apart, says Rishi Sunak in impromptu speech

Rishi Sunak has claimed extremist groups in the UK are 'trying to tear us apart', in a hastily arranged statement late on Friday. Standing outside Downing Street, the prime minister condemned what he called 'a shocking increase in extremist disruption and criminality' after the 7 October massacre by Hamas and the Israeli invasion of Gaza. He also claimed democracy itself was a target as he condemned George Galloway's victory in Rochdale's byelection. One of the most divisive politicians in Britain, Galloway won almost 40% of the vote in a contest beset by chaos and controversy and dominated by the conflict in Gaza.

Huh? The tax code is NOT part of British values, is that your point? Non Dom is part of the tax code and like all citizens you included i should imagine, all try not to pay beyond the minimum as stipulated by the law. Simple as that. Oh, BTW, she has given up that right after the news became public, for obvious reasons, but she was always paying tax in the UK, just not tax on certain income that came under the Non Dom rules, so " not paying any taxes" is also incorrect. The real question is why are there so many possibilities legally given to the rich and the answer is that since decades now the rich of the world have been investing in the UK and large numbers live there and so it is believed that boosts the economy. Its why we have today an international elite that pays little tax around the world, but the property market and the high end stores and restaurants are over the moon, as are private jets hires, while the masses have to deal with marches every wekend and threats. As to the immigration story, its beyond repair, and the oft-stated demand by tens of thousands in these comments sections to get Britian back is now impossible without deporting back to 1945 status quo ante, and that NO PARTY has even whispered, and never will, as they are too cowardly to face the consequences of their actions past 50 years. Old Britian is dead and so will the values be, as you call it.

The whole system has to change , as it currently is , if you were to vote for anyone other than the two main parties it will mean Labour get in by default , the reason is down to constituencies, if the party you vote for in a GE doesn't hold the seats in parliament they cannot get into power. Sunak condemns demonstrators but not the bombs falling on civilians in Gaza. His sense of priorities are very twisted. Last time I looked, standing about with a sign was exercising one's right to peaceful protest. Where was the 'aggression' ? Most people in the UK are appalled at our government's complicity in Israel's war-crimes in Gaza. Sunak's actions in visiting Israel saying "We will win" and the UK’s shameful abstentions at the United Nations are a direct contradiction of what the Geneva Convention and International Law stand for.
