Good vid and spot on! Just because Im introverted doesnt mean I'm shy - I just dont wanna talk to yall 😂 especially if the conversation is stupid
@NaWais3 ай бұрын
This. Also, it doesn't mean the discussion must be super deep either. If the vibe or subject is a bit off, I rather not collaborate. One thing I've learned as an introvert is that you can pump your state to appear/behave like an extrovert for short periods of time. But your baseline will always be on the introverted side. If I get "warmed up" ie. start intentionally chatting/talking to everybody without filters, in a short time I can cold approach just about anyone with zero hesitation and continue the discussion for about as long as I want to. But for example if you tell me to hop on a zoom call when I've just woken up in the morning, I say hell no, I don't want to talk to anyone during the first 2-3 waking hours at least haha. One other perk of being a introvert is that you rarely NEED company. But it's always ok if it's available.

Please don’t simply wish upon a star and think because your quite your gonna get more girls or opportunities will land on your feet, don’t listen to everything you read or hear on the internet. I feel like we need a mix of both to thrive. I'm also introverted, but I taught myself how to speak to people, network, and communicate. Once I'm comfortable with someone, I just be myself, more silent. This is something I learned living in a Caribbean country where everyone is so lively; if you don't speak up or chase after what you want, someone else will. So, I believe we can take the positive traits from extroverted people and learn from them while also staying true to ourselves. Now, I have close friends as well as acquaintances for work and other endeavors. I'd say the most draining part is being invited to a lot of events and having to decline 😂because you're not about that life and your friends are. But when they like you enough, they truly don't care they find a way to meet with you. Learn the arts of both it's a good thing people!

Where does the obsession come from trying to find out why someone is quiet? The answer is plain and simple: I have nothing to say. I'm simply present and minding my business. When it's my time to speak, I will speak. PERIOD. For the person that questions me being an introvert, it gives me an impression that I'm being plotted against and 9 times out 10 that's always the case.
@GawdTy2 ай бұрын
Because the mind wonders non stop. When you always have nothing to say usually people wonder if you’re okay. Not to annoy you but as a slight way to make sure you aren’t feeling rejected in a social situation. I was a class clown before I switched but after I moved schools I barley talked because I felt like I was going to be judge or looked at as weird due to the complete polar opposite of the culture i came from. thank god that from 9th-12th grade my parents moved back to a city and I went back to the extremely culturally mixed schools in the city where I actually felt welcome and not like black sheep my extrovert side came out again but I still felt like a introvert now as a 23 yr old. your environment and the people around you can 100% shape your personality. had I not switched schools I feel like I never would have became an introvert and would be so much more extroverted now.

I used to cope of the positive things introverts ,but reality was something else most introverts including me were punching bags and laughing stock for others and even introverted women go for extroverted sports guys that's when I ran out of copes and hated my current self and wanted to be better . What I did was basic grooming and used to observe and imitate the popular guys who were good with words and funny ,whenever they were not in the room i wpuld practice their way with less popular guys and it really helped me alot raised my confidence and sef esteem.

I truly believe you can change yourself to become more of an introvert or extrovert. I used to be very quiet and not talk with anyone that I didn't have to talk to. Like, I would go on with my day hoping no one would talk to me. I only spoke to people very close to me and hated bigger and social gatherings. When I got older I just felt like I had to make a change, I wanted to become a more outgoing person, talk to more strangers, laugh and just live my life fully. And that's exactly what I did, I just started talking to random people I met in my daily life, people I previously would never have said a single word to. I realized it was actually a nice feeling, I get to know a new person, maybe get them to laugh about something and also get to work on my social skills. Nowadays I try to talk with literally anyone, just striking up a conversation with a person you meet somewhere will most of the time make people happy and you will also be perceived as more likable. I have had many people tell me they like how "extroverted" (most people where I live are not very extroverted) I am which surprised in the beginning as I always saw myself as an introvert. Nowadays I truly like to meet and talk to new people, and I think most people can also achieve this if it's a goal of yours. That said, I still have no issues at all being by myself and don't need people around me to feel good, in fact I really enjoy spending time by myself.

Nobody can and will do the homework for you. Nobody will hand hold you or spoon feed you the answers. Get out there and be a flippin man & stand on big bidness. You didn’t come into this world to be a loser or a feeble minded individual. Introvert is one of those words I think a lot of people overuse as an excuse these days. A lot of people are just lazy or scared and use “introvert” as an excuse to not go out and be active or network. They might say I’m quiet but I honestly just don’t talk much if I don’t have anything to say but if there’s a need for me to talk then I do. Think of how ridiculous that sounds to be scared to talk lol. Not scared of fire, not scared of snakes but scared of having a conversation. That sounds ridiculous when you say it like that. Close mouths don’t get fed and you’d be surprised how many good things happen to you and for you when you active go after it and also let other people know what you want.
