Oh this gives me chills! What agreat story... the part when he is stareing at the wolf reminds me of myself, whenever I go to a zoo and see a wolf I can spend my whole time there, watching the wolves for hours on end...

The Beauty is just a bonus. The reason I like wolves is because of their society and culture. They respect the Alpha. They fight for each-other and help eachother survive. They will even save a pup that isn't even one of their own. Now, allow me to compare: I see many children disrespecting adults thinking that they know everything in life. People these days will leave another to die without a second thought. And many of us will either kill or just abandon our children for no apparent reason.

I read the book :D Even if it is "for children" this book has a real meaning. Great animation by the way.. (It would have been nice *SPOILER* to see the boy travelling through Africa then go to the zoo in France where encounter the wolf and all the friends he made and how the wolf see thet his sister is there too so he'll never be alone :) *spoiler* )

A wolf meet the eye of another wolf to fight or assert dominance. If the one wolf looks away, they become subordinate, but wolves can stare at each other without blinking for a long time, so I think thats what it means :3
