I had a very similar experience one day in my backyard. The light started off pure blue and the only thing I could think is that the Medicine Buddha had appeared to me while I was chanting.

When I visit the temple and pray to the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, if my prayer is sincere the sun immediately becomes very bright and warm and shines directly unto me and where I am praying, even if on a cloudy day, it will appear so bright! This sometimes is accompanied by a gust of wind all around me. However, when I’m sort of praying out of repetition and not sincerity, none of this happens. It is quite beautiful. Amituofo 🙏🏼

I have come to really like chanting Dharmakaya Amitabha. Is that necessarily okay, or the same? Thank you for all you have done, especially for the Dharma.😇🙏♾️

Namo Amitabha Yes, I understand what you’re saying. Normally I’d suggest it’s possibly lens flare which can occur when pointing a camera at a bright light, but the fact that other people on the ground are reacting too is interesting. And I watched it again and right near the start you can see the sun is flaring out to four points (NE, NW, SE, SW) but there is definitely a single beam of blue light shining directly downward. Food for thought..... I look forward to hearing the story. Namo Amitoufo 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️☀️☀️☀️
