Brows are so important to a youthful look. When I need to leave my house in a hurry and don’t have time to do much else, I choose to concentrate on my brows (carefully in my magnifying mirror!) and a little mascara. Although nothing is going to make me look 25 again, and let’s face it, who wants to be 25 again anyway, normal brows peeking out from between my bangs do give that impression of a mature but more polished look. I Now have 1/2 a Brow!! I've used Powder, Gels , Pencils!!. Still NOT getting a Good Brow!! I need to get them WAXED!! BUT with this COVID, It's a bit hard to find a Place!! Thought about SHAVING ALL off...I've seen Great results, too Chicken!! TATTOOING, a bit SCARY....Any feedback would be Appreciated. Ty

​@@emkranenburg5570 Hi, Em--it's amazing how much our brows can change and how challenging it can become to deal with them! Have you tried a pomade (a cream)? Maybelline makes a good one (Maybelline Tattoo Studio Brow pomade). It comes with an angled brush with a spoolie on the other end. What's nice about pomades is that they adhere to bare skin. Another similar option is Benefit's Kabrow, but it's more expensive. Wunderbrow is another interesting option. It's a liquid that comes with a brush. It will stay in place up to three days. A little goes a very long way when applying it, so sometimes it's helpful to wipe off the brush on the inside of the tube to insure you're not getting too much on the brush. Hi, Elise! It's my turn to have misty eyes. I was so touched and it was so sweet of you to greet me in your video. I am going to have to hold my head up a little higher now that I am famous.:) I am so in awe of the before and after pictures from your consultations. You are simply the best! I am trying to do better with my brows. I admit other than tweezing I neglect them far too often. I have eye pencils from Believe Beauty (Dollar General's brand) and Hourglass. I have a tinted brow gel from Ulta and a clear one from ABH and I have a small slanted brush I use with eyeshadow. I like all of these products but I'm still experimenting to find a method works the best for me. I will keep all your tips in mind as I do so and thank you so much for them! I hope you are having a wonderful time with your daughter and in preparation for the holidays. They are coming up so quickly and I am looking forward to them. My family comes to our home for Thanksgiving and my husband does all the cooking, so that is always a fun day!

When I learnt how to do my almost invisible blonde eyebrows properly, it changed my makeup game. Unfortunately I’ve not been able to find an eyebrow pencil that is the right colour so I use a MAC eyeshadow. Most taupe coloured pencils are too dark and most blond coloured pencils are too warm. I really need a light, cool, blonde/taupe that matches my cool, blonde/grey/white hair. Have you seen one that may fit that criteria Elise?

Hi, Ros--Yes, absolutely . . . filling in our eyebrows is definitely a game changer! Unfortunately, so many of the eyebrow pencil colors from brand to brand are pretty similar, so I think you've found a great solution with eyeshadow. One of the companies with the biggest array of brow colors (at least in powders) is Anastasia of Beverly Hills. Have you tried their blonde pencil? Hi Elise! I was thrilled to find your channel!! I feel blessed to get "wiser", but make up can be a bit challenging now. My brows are very sparse and I notice that after I use an eyebrow pencil, it takes on a kind of waxy appearance. Should I just go over it with an eyebrow powder? Also, I've been wantig to purchase an eyebrow serum but there are so many on the market and some of them can be quite expensive. Which brow serum did you have success with? Thank you for the story about your journey using the serum, it can be very scary! Thank you for helping me to gain confidence in make up application!!

Hi, Noreen--Welcome! I'm so glad to know you're finding the videos helpful. Eyebrows can be so tricky . . . and changes keep happening! Yes, I'd try going over it with an eyebrow powder. If that doesn't work, you might try putting on the powder first and then lightly sketching in with a pencil. Another interesting option are the relatively new brow tint pens which have a very fine tip that you can use to sketch in brow hairs (at least on part of your brow area). There's a learning curve with these, but the brows can look beautiful and natural. NYX makes a good one that's pretty inexpensive. Sometimes it just takes a lot of experimenting to see with works. I just did another video on sparse eyebrows where I demonstrate with one of these pens. The video will be coming up sometime in late March (not sure of the exact date yet). I'll let you know the date for sure when it's finalized in case this video might also be helpful. Good luck!

I have yet to find a product that will make my eyebrows lie down. I have some hairs at the middle of my brows that just stand up what ever I try. I know it runs in the family because my father has them too. It looks okay on a 92 year old man but not on me. Have you got some advise for me?

Hi, Cecilia--Yes, our brows just seem to get more wiry as we get older! Have you tried using extra hold hairspray? It can be applied either with your finger or you can spray it on an old, sanitized mascara wand or an eyebrow "spoolie" brush. Another option is a light coating of petroleum jelly or aloe vera. There are also eyebrow waxes. There's one sold on QVC which I haven't tried, but which looks interesting. It's called Full Brow Eyebrow Wax. It's clear and is made with castor oil so it provides some good nourishment for the brows as well. Hope this helps! Best wishes.

Hi, Em--Are you missing tails? Since powder doesn't adhere well to bare skin, you're better off using an eyebrow pencil or a pomade (cream) since they will adhere best to bare skin. You could also apply a product like Benefit's "Gimme Brow" with it. This product has some fibers in it so can help fill in the look of brows. Hope this helps! Best wishes.

​@@emkranenburg5570 Hi, Em--brows can definitely be a challenge! A trick that can help with pencils is to use a thin one that you can use to sketch in fine lines that look like brow hairs. This can definitely be tricky to do and time consuming at first, but once you get the hang of it, it can go pretty quickly. Maybelline Tattoo Studio Brow pomade is a cream that is waterproof that could work for you as well. Benefit also makes a product that's a cream called Ka-Brow that many women swear by, but it's more expensive than the Maybelline product. They also make the Gimme Brow product mentioned earlier which has some fibers in it. Benefit products can be purchased through their website, Sephora or Ulta. Maybelline is available through their website, Ulta or many drugstores. Hope this helps, Em.
