Regardless of some relatively minor flaws, this really is a great time to be a beginner guitar player or a guitar player on a budget. We could only dream of instruments on this level for this little money a few decades back. It's insane. Also, while I absolutely understand it's hard to ignore and it can ruin your day, I think you should give a bit less attention to negative comments. It seems like they've been getting to you a bit more lately. This channel is a prime example of everything done right when it comes to reviewing gear and transparency and integrity, and if some people still doubt that, despite a neverending stream of proof otherwise, then seriously, fuck them, you won't change their mind anyway and they're not worth ruining your day. (Also, on a more petty note, if PRS doesn't like you for criticizing his overpriced and overhyped guitars, that's further proof you're clearly doing something right, as far as I'm concerned ;) )

Why is it that the action on budget guitars so many times seem to be too high? A lot of people complaining about it
@Case_6 ай бұрын
@@LordOfSweden I'd say it's much less common than it used to be. But if it still happens, I think it's a combination of cheaper materials that still continue to adjust after the guitar has been finished and shipped, and less care being given to finishing and setting up the guitar. Though we should probably also define "too high" when talking about action, as it's a rather subjective thing.

It'd be cool to have a comparison with an S by Solar for the price range. Agree on the "chunkyness"
@kicsisziszi9 ай бұрын
An inverted will it chug. Will it chunk! 😉😉😁😁
@tostrmofo66869 ай бұрын
I'd not say it's chunky, mine is kind of schecteresque. I got one from the first run a few years ago, but I can't imagine they changed the neck profile. Fretboard is Ibanez flat, neck itself is Schecter slim C-ish. I personally feel it plays very comfortable and I hate chunky necks.

From Leo: Good demonstration, thank you. I never could understand people who want to pick apart your work, that by the way, they are watching for free. I love the color, and like the shape. I agree, when I am looking for a guitar like that, I would want a slim profile fast neck. If a man only has $179 for a guitar, it still looks like a winner

The scarf joint saves the factory a couple bucks *AND* makes the headstock less likely to break It's a win-win (Thought I do agree with you about Mr Reed Smith. Generally I think he comes across like a used car salesman but he is right on this one)

Kinda neat to be honest. Would be great to see their more premium version with high output pickups, ss frets, thinner neck, locking tuners, more stunning colors etc. As an alternative to RG421

There are good reasons for a scarf joint. It's to do with grain direction. A scraf reduces the risk of headstock breaks.

Original Ibanez Wizard necks from the 80's-90's are all scarf joints. I don't mind them at all, I love those guitars.

I have the Blood Red Metallic version and found the pickups a little 'underwhelming' and muddy. I threw a $200 set of Seymore Duncan Nazgul/Sentient passives in it and now she wails like a banshee. For $159 I planned on modding her from the start. Now she has looks AND brains. But even if you don't plan on modding, it's still a great guitar for the price point. (And I just might have to get this Flip Flop finish version because it's striking!) 👍

Hello everyone, I would really like to know what kind of frets come with the R446. I heard that the "medium jumbo"s HB uses are rather small indeed and by no way similar to a normal jumbo you would find , say, on a Jackson. Please a definive answer from a owner....thanks a lot!

Just to be clear I am NOT criticizing this creator nor his experience with this make of guitars. I enjoy his reviews as much as the next person here so i do not consider him as shilling for this brand or any other such nonsense. The supplier & quality control however... that's a different story altogether & from what I've read over time my personal experience with this company is far from uncommon.
@j.r.warren57949 ай бұрын
Dude, the average Joe wouldn't contact support for a guitar that cost $150. Fix it yourself. Even if you screw it up, you've still got parts to mod another guitar with. And most important of all, if $150 is going to break the bank, maybe you need to rethink your priorities.
@ThunderingCreation9 ай бұрын
@@j.r.warren5794 Maybe you can afford to burn £150, a lot of people cant plus some countries have consumer rules on products actually been fit for purpose. Idk maybe I'm old school enough to actually want a product I paid for to work properly. In b4 "well you get what you pay for" crowd. As if that somehow excuses selling poor quality products.

Bruh, what I personally care about is - balance - playing comfort - fret processing quality and maybe sound. Now i know HB has had some good guitars released. Also - the sound depends a lot on the speakers as proven by Glenn. So I just watch it to see if this guitar is worrth buying.

Normally I enjoy Harley Bentons, but recently I've run into an issue with defective products and customer service. Clear Coat is flaking off in large chunks, and any attempt at reaching out to them has been stone-walled, idk if its because I am from the states and they don't feel like they have to respond to customers in this part of the world, simply because there is very little we can do, or if it's just... Harley Benton has bad all around Customer service, needless to say, might not be buying from them in the future.

Those prices may be great for anybody living in or near Germany, but when you factor in ship costs to many other countries, these guitars lose most of their bargain appeal, because it doubles the cost instantly.
