Les Trem 2 + ABM Roller bridge, low action and them bolts are all the way in, maximum sustain even with the NG having an agressive threshold. I experience tuning stability issues with the trem though, besides that there is some nitpicking when stringing a light E on it, think Duesenberg should have made the holes that are supposed to keep stringballends in place a tad larger/deeper. Using bullet ends seems almost stable, think I’m going to find the right size drill to make them sink in a bit further, those ends should barely move if at all.

Hi Henning, thanks for this fantastic video (as usual). I had this guitar and I loved it. I noodled for several days for many hours and enjoyed it. And then after 3 months the bridge was popping out of the body. Sent it back and got a new one. The same happened after 3 days. Sent also this back and got my money in return. I wished the quality control would have the same high standard like the customer service department.

I've had this for almost a year now. Great guitar. Had to do some work though. One of the stop tailpiece posts started to rise with the string tention but was easy to glue on. Sharp fret ends started to show on first winter and had to file them. No problem. The pickups really benefit from being as high as possible. I don't get it why some are so keen in changing the pots to make it even brighter. It's really bright already! It's one of the only guitar with I use the tone controll of the guitar to make it duller.

I would honestly call the color Copper Satin. I own one and also own the JA 60 OW. I love both of these guitars. I have a lot of guitars since I've been collecting for 50 years. Harley Benton has some great models. I also own the DC junior in Benton Blue, I love it. The models I mentioned are superb. These are a great deal for pros and beginners. Los Angeles

I’m so tempted. I got my nephew a Harley Benton J Bass as his first bass and I was so impressed by it. I’ve been looking at getting a Jazzmaster for a while and was going to by the Vintera but now the Vintera II has come out with a 40% price increase and in a range of ugly colours, I’ve been looking at other options. I’m not 100% convinced by the Squier Classic Vibe and this just seems like amazing value.

I just got this a couple months ago. I’m struggling with the intonation a bit, especially if you try and use a Capo. But that could just be that the neck needs to acclimate more. I plan to put a pair of Fender 65 Pickups in it soon. Love the feel and look of this guitar. Thx for the great video Henning.

True... The intonation doesn't seem as bad when I Capo my Strat though. It could just be the scale length or neck carve variance as well. But good reminder, thanks man@@tomasz3122

@@chrisr530 Well, what I meant is that intonation is set for given string length/tension. Putting capo obviously disrupts that, so your intonation will always be a little bit off with it.. Same when you tune guitar down, if your intonation is set for E standard with given string gauge then tuning it down will cause intonation to be off

The problem with HB: reselling price is ridiculous low. Sold my Fusion II yesterday for a really low price, no market there for a used one. Willl not buy a HB again although it‘s a shame because for the money they‘re good. If you want to keep it for life: go for it!

I have one HB Fusion that is absolut killer . But I had the worst experiences when it comes to B-Stock Guitars from Thomann . The last Firemist I ordered was completely broken.. They should definitely take a look at their quality control.. Cause as I said that wasn't the first one.

I was already thinking about HB B-Stock. As HB happens to have single guitars in many lines that just pass QC where they shouldn't, the odds are high that these will return to Thomann and will end up as B-Stock. Maybe Thomann should consider opening HB returns and putting them through a check in their Git Lab? I don't know how much of cost this would create.

I never buy any cheap brand guitar. You get what you pay for, I got several even PRS SE‘s . Do your math, for this money there’s a flaw within ; the production line, mostly you’ll get problems with the wood! Once it’s moving on the neck you’re fucked and you‘ll spend the same money 💴 fixing it by a luthier. It’s all not worth it, save your money for a high end end made guitar,.for beginners it’s a different story, these guitars are great for getting into the instrument, once you are comfortable with it, get a high end guitar.

I have a slight idea why all influencer say "the ja 60 is ridiculously good". Because they get a cherrypcked one. Ive ordered the guitar three times. It has a very good neck and it stays in tune, thats it. Its a modplatform. All of the JA60s i had very NOT shielded at all. There is some clear, akward coating, but thats not a shielding. The pickguard is not shielded. It has the wrong pots and the bridge didnt work because the screws were awful. You cant adjust the octaves. You cant swap the pickups easily, because roswell decided, in all of its glory, to use a vertikal mounting system, instead of the dogears they usually use. Why? I mean its clear at this point that roswell dont know anything about pickups...they never heard a singlecoil in their life and the humbuckers are like worse epiphone probuckers.....a achievement for its own. And now Thomann renews their lineup not with the better teslas, instead they go for the margin and all new guitars come with roswells. The p90s here sound like p90s. But its a jazzmaster ripoff. At first i planned to use the neck for another guitar. But then i thought "Hm i have some tesla vr-2 from another guitar here, lets try". Wasnt possible without heavy carving, because the cavities were to shallow, a new pickguard is needed....so i dropped this idea. At the end i have done what harley benton should have done: I shielded everything new with conductive paste, shielded the pickguard with copper plating, put 500k pots in in and wired everything new because the grounding on the bridge was also awful. Now it sounds like a jazzmaster, is still a bit noisy, but normal for p90s.......Oh and i have to change the bridge for a gotoh one. Cost: 25 bucks for the paste, 10 bucks for the copper plating, 10 bucks for wires, 25 bucks for pots, and 30 for the bridge, 10 for new strings. 100 bucks plus 2 hours of freetime (i charge around 25 euro per hour like in my normal job). 150 bucks. The price of the guitar itself when i bought it. The thing is: The guitar aims for beginners. You cant say "ridiculously good", when you have to do big service and mod to get it working. In normal state its unplayable. So i guess.......thomanns marketing limbs, aka eytsch, agu, 60cycle and so on get cherrypicked versions. Harley benton should sell the necks. The necks of their guitars are 99% awesome. And why i pay over 100 euro more for this version? Because of the ugly color and the 10 euro gigbag?
