Could a rice cooker be used in place of a slow cooker for this recipe? Thanks for your informative cooking lessons which I get much out of.

Thanks for the question. I don't think it would work very well, unfortunately. From a temperature standpoint, I think it would be fine. However, since this cobbler has to cook from 2 - 3 hours, it would be nearly impossible to nurse a rice cooker along and keep it up to temperature for that long. Once they get to a certain temperature for a preset time, they switch to keep warm. Every time it did that, you would have to switch it back over to the cook setting, assuming the rice cooker would even let you do that. I'm sorry and wish I had some better advice for you, but I appreciate the question. Good luck!!

Glad to find your recipes for the medium size crockpot😊. Mine is exactly the same model and I use it all the time. But...after trying several different ways to make cobblers, the toppings came out soupy in the middle 🤔. Pancake mix might just work... so will try your recipe and see what happens. Thanks so much!

The pancake flour works great 👍. Give it a try and I dont.thinh it will be soupy. And yes, this is the perfect size Crock Pot for most dishes. Thanks for the comments!!

Do you have any recommendations on size of slow cooker? A small one looks suitable for your recipe.

Yes, you're right. The small one I used in the video was perfect for the ingredients. However, you could easily double or triple the recipe and use a bigger cooker. The one I fixed in the video would serve a moderate sized serving with ice cream to 4. Thanks for your question.
