This is so neat and would be fun to make. I'm expecting my first great-great-nephew next March 2022 and want to make something that he will have to keep and carry down to his children one day or just have it as a keepsake to remind him of his great-great Aunt Tina who loves him and his momma very much.

Lovely tutorial :) thank you. I tried it yesterday and I would say it is definitely big for a baby. I will try it once again but with 20 loops and only 4 or 5 rows. And also only 4 or 5 loops for ears :)

@@lisaericdavisson1755 I made this pattern for my 10 and 5 yr old granddaughters and 8 rounds was WAY to much, I ended up doing 6 rounds for the 10 yr old and 5 for my 5 yr old. So, I would say no more than 4 for a newborn.

I’d say around 15-20, 22 to be on the safe side since it tends to shrink a little from stitching.
