I wanted to share an idea for your channel to maybe try out :) I made a SLIME MONSTER! out of cheap Dollar store - colorful drinking straws. I first cut green, a little yellow, and a little white straws into small flakes. I mixed them up in a bowl- then poured them in a folder sheet of aluminum foil. Next - I used a heating iron - ironed the foil which melted the plastic - marbled the colors together. Next, I grabbed a small rock from the yard - place the foil on the rock, and then iron the foil to melt the plastic to form the natural shape of the rock. Once cool - I removed the SLIME MONSTER from the foil and hot glued to a base. I also made dragon fire flames gauges and water using the colors that go with them etc... I was originally tying to make plastic book marks LOL! I'm currently playing with bright blues and greens to make a portal doorway - I might also play with LED lights LOL!

Also - A heat glue can melt the plastic - make it shiny - toy like - for touch ups!

Hello Scotty, purchased EZD6, excellent rule set. Just now working out the kinks of playing a new ruleset. Not sure where to ask this question, so I am asking it here...:) So, a player has a boon, rolls 2d6, I read the dice as if either dice is a 1, its failure. But my players disagree, they want too pick the highest of the 2 dice, even if a 1 is rolled. I know its my game, and I can do it how I choose, but to be fair to the players I am asking how others see it.

Your players are right. Take the highest die of any dice rolled in a boon pool. A '1' in the roll only comes into play for magick and miracles. Glad to help.

Hey Scotty, what's up with the weird terminology (rabble rouser, pushers and shovers, boons and banes, strikes...)? Is it from baseball or something? Those "3 strikes and you're out" sound like that as far as I know baseball but as I am speaking easel (English as a second language...) I don't get the origins or slang for the rest. Not that it is a problem, though... If I'll want to translate to my languague for my group, I can just use our usual terms like GM, adventurers etc. And thumbs up for such a neat little system!

Most games have some terminology specific to a system With DnD like Armor Class or Numenera with Cyphers. The terms Rabble Rouser and Pusher and Shover were just fun alternates for me to use. (I explain why I use them near the beginning of the book) but if those terms are not to your taste just say GM and players.

You can use winzip or unrar to open it. .Zip is a file type used to shink data so it takes up less space. It was used heavily before to fit more files into storage media and to reduce download wait times as well as bandwidth usage.

DM Scotty... love ya and watched you for many years... You are are DM and crafting overlord, and I wish you nothing but success on this venture, but... if it's so easy, why does the rule book look like a big text book? I like a little more insight into a book and a new system if I'm going to spend $23-$26 on something. Which I'm quite willing to do. Not hating, it may be the best game ever??? But (sorry) the video didn't really tell me or show me anything inside the book. Can you please showcase the book better, rather than just make promises about it?

Having picked up the PDF its 20 pages of rules, 15 pages of gameplay and the rest is all monsters with a few final pages on magic/gear/misc bits. having gone through it so far, somewhat briefly, it looks very worth it and cant wait for my hardcover to come in.

I’m afraid I’m also in the same boat, if you’re dropping a new system we know nothing about it would have been nice to have a more in-depth walkthrough of the book ready to go at launch, so we can learn about the system and make an informed decision on purchase, whilst the teaser was nice it didn’t tell me anything the blurb on DriveThruRPG hasn’t already said. Love the artwork and the system sounds interesting, just need to know more about it.

Bougt the system! Is it a crit fail if a 1 shows up, regardless of how many d6 are rolled? Also, how would a character need 4d6? 1 Boon, 1 aspect, and .....

You always take the highest die in the pool so no. Only magick and miracles fail if you roll any ones. You could get a boon for an enchanted weapon.
