Are you using springs to prevent the shock ripping the the "loop"?

i didn't. i finally found springs that can handle the weight. Hammock springs can hold 550lbs.

For someone just starting out, would you recommend these bags over a traditional one?

only the lighter weight ones

This can be a substitute for a muay thai twar drop bag right

How did you patch the holes?? What did you use? I have one with a split in but can’t find anything to help me fix it.

This is overkill for a heavy bag.

yes, but it works great for the heavy weights

The problem is people trying to save a dollar by using something for which it wasn't intended. The Aquabag is made to be filled with water and punched. These polyform BUOYS are meant to be filled with AIR and be a cushion between a boat and a dock. If you fill it with water then it will stretch those holes and they weren't made to be stretched. Save a dollar and have a flooded apartment. The people living below you will understand, right?

its been holding up 2 years now, once i added the springs. im happy with it. leaks from my experience with these bags are drips rather than floods, but yes i am concerned about a possible flood if someone cuts it

@@sethlover1211 Springs sound like a great idea. They would absorb some of the "bouncing" that the bag does when being hit instead of all that bouncing being held up by those rubber holes. Another thing I saw in another video was putting a metal sleeve into that hanging hole so that the rubber hole isn't stretching out so much. Actually, it probably wouldn't have to be metal. Sawing off a section of PVC tubing would probably do the trick. Now you've got me thinking again about getting one of these buoys instead of the more expensive Aquabags. Between a "sleeve" and a spring it should be a safe alternative.

@@STBRetired1 the springs worked well on all the heavy bags i used. im not sure how it will do with the really heavy one. I used a combination of air and water plus i made a case to carry the weight since both ends broke. if i ever replace that bag, i will see if the springs will be enough. it is working great on the A5 which is the second heaviest bag, so i think it will work

The aqua bags ARE polyform a-series buoys. 18 inch aquabag is a polyform a-3 buoy for instance. Hell Title just slaps a sticker on them.
