They technically have, it's harder to lock smaller planes than bigger planes in game, but that's about it. We don't really have any stealth or, "hard-to-see" plane modifications in war thunder either way, what would you mean by modeling RCS?

@@mangosuppe8706su 27 is larger than the f15 but the f15 just has a much larger rcs than the su 27, f16 and mig 29 rcs are smaller than su 27 and then all this other little stuff, and don't forgot rcs aspect angle, so like all the little edges and corners and all that

@@BinHandler12gaijin has a rudimentary rcs model he is correct, though it isnt exactly as he’s describing it. It’s more of a poorly modeled RCS graph that is autogenerated from the airframe.

modeling stealth is way too demanding for a game, they just need to assign each aircraft a couple rcs values at differente angles and make up a curve to estimate rcs values for the angles in beetween

They did. How do you think they calculate stealth. For the same radar, an F-14 will be detected further away than something like an f-16 for exemple.

I see the F-117 as a decent early match bomber in GRB, but I honestly think it will be a bit better in Sim, specially if a "night" battle comes. It's bombes are not That amazing, but maybe they could do some decent damage. Hope to see some updates for Sim, this way the F-117 and a few other bombers could have more strategic and precision targets. I think it's possible, definitelly gonna try to build something on the CDK, just hope to have the time for it.

I remember when I was a kid driving along the interstate through the capital of the state I live in and seeing a shadow cover us suddenly I look up from the window and see either one of these F117s or it was a B2 RIGHT above our vehicle I guess it was taking off from the airport there or coming in to land... I cannot recall correctly as I was probably 5 or 6 and so it's such a vague memory but I remember being in awe of it's size above me so that makes me think it was a B2 but either way it was epic

Mat, you can lock onto ground units in the TGP by activating target point, that way the laser follows the vehicle instead of guiding it by mouse. Lets you focus on flying

F-117 is essentially the upgraded version of the strike drones you get in ground RB as it has two bombs so it can do limited CAS in a single run but is much harder to detect than the drones and it goes much faster so quicker to land and reload ... only caveat is unlike the strike drones which all factions get , only US gets this one .... gosh i love the rUsIAn BiAs, right, RIGHT !
