There is nothing interesting about it , the FM is still absolute garbage , it falls out of the sky in two turns and accelerates like a snail. You need to activate full control to even have a chance to max perform the plane while basically any NATO aircraft in the game max performs ( actually overperforms ) with just mouse aim ...

For those who didn’t get why - it’s not obvious but the plane doesn’t change its direction of flight while pulling high AoA (it’s still moving forward even though its nose is pointed backwards) so at such AoA’s elevators work kinda as canards (and canards work as elevators) so to keep rotating the plane in the same direction its elevators and canards must be deflected in opposite directions compared to normal flight

@ in theory irl yes, in fact though the plane will be so slow that its control surfaces will produce almost no lift due to very low airflow around them and cause the airframe is unstable (in case of the Su-34 its center of mass is closer to the tail than its axis of rotation) so in normal flight with FBW off the plane will be constantly trying to pitch up but at high AoA it will be trying to pitch down so I don’t think it is possible irl (or at least it isn’t very effective)

@Lillspratt yeah much like the f16 gaijin doesn't model stall speeds, well knowing that the viper is terrible at low speeds compared to most of its competitors like how is the f16 keeping up with a mirage 2000 in a 1 circle at stall speeds that just doesn't make sense, the gripen is like the f16A but even more broken. The f16 was performing very realistically before the major buff it got because a certain group of people started crying that their legendary 2 circle fighter was losing to jets in a 1 circle fight.

They've literally removed the Grom and nerfed the radar of the Su34. The R77 in game is tragically bad compared to the real life counterpart. The flight models of the Su27 and MiG29 are horrible and artificially nerfed. Russian bias is a myth, especially when you look at NATO equivalents overperforming their irl counterparts.

I think gaijin needs to rework their physics engine before they add anything with thrust vectoring. The physics of the game were made for props. Modern jets are designed to have a higher lift coefficient at higher AoA. Right now we have a static lift coefficient for a straight line. Just an example. And obviously they cannot handle thrust vectoring very well either
