Arguably no, but I prefer it, especially now that people are using mainly chaff, because it is the fastest dogfight IR missile, and it gets to that speed very quickly, and it has 40Gs off pull. Performance wise, it smokes the Aim9M in every category, the 9M’s only advantage it’s is it’s IRCCM seekerhead, but I find it to be very inconsistent, so I prefer the Python, but I know most people prefer the 9M. Kinda just a preference thing
