I don't know. I remember being a kid and loving the YF-23. The F-22 looks a lot better now than it did as a prototype, but the YF-23 is still the most futuristic looking plane I've ever seen.

IR signatures can be detectable up to 50 miles away. Radar signatures can be detected hundreds of miles away. Sound can be detected maybe one mile away. There's very little point in making jets quieter because you can see the jet with your naked eye before you can hear it.
