That 1st F35 was very low indeed. Don't they make a fantastic sound in the valleys. F16 aswell wow! A good day all round up there in the lake district. Great footage with just such magical sounds and weirdly quite reassuring. Another classic oldie!! 16 months too late lol 😆 😅

@@TedConingsby ahh great choice as the F-35A looks like a cool battle penguin from its looks and F-16C are pretty agile too 🤣😁 Most welcome Ted as well and have a nice weekend 😀

Great stuff Ted. Nice to see a different LFA. It's probably not the case but they look faster than aircraft in the Mach Loop probably not I'm sure but still nice to see them ✈️🇺🇲🇬🇧🐻

Hi Mark. Thank you very much. We had no idea what aircraft was coming, but we heard “the noise” which is the only warning you get. It was only when it got closer we knew it was an F35. Not many people like it, but trust me, any jet blasting through the LFA is awesome. You might be right about the speed, maybe it’s the spot I we were at too. We have named this spot, the “Ted Spot” hehe. But ultimately it’s Dunmail Raise. 🤙🏼🛩🧸

Hi Ted. Smashing video. I was surprised how cleanly the F35's cut through the air. To go off piste for a moment seeing the helicopter ( Robinson R22???? ) reminds me to mention that I live close to Cheltenham racecourse and that today is gold cup day and the weather is fantastic. The sky has been absolutely full of choppers, and I mean absolutely stiffed. I am minded to think of surfboards, Wagner and naplam, if you get my meaning. The problem seem to be that commercial helicopters are not flown correctly. The side doors need to be opened wide and the passengers need to have their legs out the door. I spent some time in the Territorial Army ( A Coy 1 Wessex ) back in the 70's and have flown in Pumas and Hueys. The idea of having the side doors closed was risible.

Hi Stephen. Thanks for your comments and some background about your TA days. That’s awesome. Yeah those F35A’s really tore through cleanly. They are slimmer than the F35B, so look even more dynamic when the h blasted through. Cheltenham racecourse! Nikos says he used to work in Bishop’s Cleeve, so knows exactly what the races are like there. Haha, I know what you mean buddy, where’s the machine guns and doors opening with something hanging out? The R22 was civilian but still, needed Hawaiian shirts and surf boards for sure. Hehe, good luck with the Cheltenham races. Wahhhayyy 🧸🇬🇧

Hi Ted. Would you mind sharing where you parked and how far/steep the route is to get to where you were shooting? (Plan to go with my 7 year old) Cheers!
@TedConingsby Жыл бұрын
As with all the Lake District and LFAs the climbs are steep and care needs to be taken, especially if you have little ones. Be prepared to wait for hours and hours and know that you may not see anything. Park at Dunmail Raise and walk up as much as you can
