Incredible. The speed at which you are building such a complex scale F35 is amazing. From engineering design to assembly skills, you have it down to a fine art. I can’t wait to see your videos and upcoming projects.

Wow Joel! Thats amazing!! Can’t believe how far you’ve come with this f35 vtol and now the f35b transitioning while flying! Congratulations mate, wish you nothing but success brother. Take care ☺️👍

Your progress and talent never ceases to amaze me. Hope you are able to produce these in volume in the future once you've perfected the whole plane and its avionics. PS: wish there was something else that could be done about those fans on the wings. ...Then comes the FPV model in 1/4 scale.

So nice

While I’m confident you have considered it, putting an FPV rotating camera linked to a VR head seat will make flying this much easier, especially considering how tricky VTOL can be Good luck!

What's happening with the version that uses the real control system rather than the in wing fans? What if those fans were internal then ducted?
@Joelmelanie5 ай бұрын
1:10 size is to critical, I need all the thrust from the 90’s to take off and have some energy to fly and land. The 1:8 size will be a different story
@paolo11x115 ай бұрын
Amazing work. The door mechanism is very nicely done - it looks smooth and scale. You've probably already thought of it but would flipping the wing motors 90 degrees, moving them into the fuselage and shaft-driving the wing fans be viable?
@Joelmelanie5 ай бұрын
Exactly that. There we go to an 1:8 size to tilt the roll edf into the fuselage and build a scale valve

Very nice looking aircraft. The real thing is amazing, but this just as amazing. On your Dutch F-35A the gun is on the wrong side .

Great build as are all the other you have build. Just wondering why you didn't go with belt driven blades on the wings like the tail blades on a chopper. That way you don't have the two motors sticking out like that and keeps the wings smoothed. Just idea.

Are you going to do away with the wing EDFs eventually? There is always a way to optimize the roll posts.

The bigger 1:8 size will have roll post

@@Joelmelanie Oh, that is excellent. It is very important that it is true to scale. I'm looking forward to seeing it in action.

Amazing engineering and dedication Joel. Do you have a video of it hovering and transition to forward flight ?
@Joelmelanie5 ай бұрын
Yes just search 4 videos back somewhere
@danielhipp55415 ай бұрын
@@Joelmelanie thank you for your response but that video does not show a full forward flight. I know you had one video where you transition from hover to forward flight but it’s been taken down. It was at a very high altitude the transition just curious I see the inbound transition, but not the outbound transition anymore.This is one of the most important part of this whole project. I’m just surprised there’s not a video of it. we all are blown away with how amazing this project is ,you have accomplished something great.😊

This looks amazing Joel! With the color and decals it really comes alive and looks absolutely awesome! Would it be possible to use round pieces cut out of a fine wire mesh to put on top of the two small wing edfs (for roll control) and paint the mesh in grey color in order to visually better blend it with the surface? It probably will reduce the edf thrust output but I don't know how much, maybe this could work? Just an idea... I am also loving the thin wing airfoil thickness, it really looks very scale! I hope functional leading edge flaps will be possible in future versions or the 1:8 version. Great great work Joel!
@Joelmelanie5 ай бұрын
Yes the 1:8 is the final goal! Front leading edge functional and 90 degree tilted edf in fuselage and roll valve in wing

Awesome work Joel! This appears to be a comfortable scale using the 2 x 90mm EDFs, not too bog, not too small... What is the wingspan and overall lenght of this variant?
@Joelmelanie4 ай бұрын
Hey this is a 1:10 size, 2x90mm EDF setup and 2x40mm in wings. lenght 1,54m 6,5 kg. i think i can build it under 6 kg now.

Two weeks ago I was in Meppen and then had to go to Gasselte. Then I passed by Ter Apel and then I thought I would go and see if Joel was flying, so that I could see the planes up close. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time because I also had to pick up my wife in Hoogeveen and then back to Zoetermeer.

I tune in and out to your channel and I've been waiting to see just how bad you wanted to accomplish what most would give up on. I know you have a ton of your time chasing the dream and making it a reality. You better be proud of yourself. I know I am and I don't even know you.
