Actually the following F-4 has those slats (in the game) besides this: both German, both Israeli, and the US F-4E (but not the J)! And I'd say that the new top Israeli F-4 is the best version, do to its built in gun and better radar; +AiM 9Ls + AGM-65Ds also with slats. Sadly I don't think the US tree will ever gets a "BIS" Phantom II, do to like with many US jets if u want the best of it, u have to look in other nations tree. Those who actually honored it.

I'm pretty sure the F4S has slats from a different program to the agile eagle. They are a bit bigger so you can turn harder but lose more speed. Unless I'm confusing it with another phantom in the game

I got killed a few times by this in my mig 29 already, this thing is deadly especially in headons if he uses an 7F and you don’t fly low to the ground. Definitely a good premium plane.

In a mig 29 you shouldn't be losing to this. The R27 ER is way better in a head on than the 7F since it's way faster. So long as you fire within a second or 2 of the sparrow you should kill the aircraft and make the missile miss.

@@cookiecraze1310 mate you definitely can die to it, a mig-29 SMT will get obliterated in a headon. 7F missiles are ruthless if your enemy is above 150m off the ground and they're coming at you, easy pickings.

Fun fact about his skin in the intro, he's using a CVW-5 (Carrier Air Wing 5) skin, which is the air wing I'm currently apart of irl, I use a similar skin in warthunder with MY F-4S, which funny enough, despite being lvl 20, I'm pretty good at the game

I got it and use it for CAS. I mainly did this as a more SL effective cas since the repair isn't 13000 like my F4E or my A7E. Plus I've had pretty good luck in Air RB.

Navy slats are not the same as the agile eagle slats on the f4e they even look different when you engage the combat flaps, the navy version is clearly shorter. The kurnass turns better for sure

I’ve been having some good games in it but as I’m new to top tier I’ve been having trouble locking the right planes. Is there a way to set it up so it radar locks what you’re pointing at? I have to cycle through a couple different locks before I get the right one and sometimes when I shoot the lock disappears even though I still have a good distance and angle on the enemy plane. Any help is appreciated

So my issue with this plane is it has some good weapon systems and a long range radar however, it only has a single radar mode that is subject to interference very easily.

I've bought it and it's incredibly good for grinding. With 2 kills (and while still with the 20 days of premium) you can get alot of RP. Its Aim-9's aren't that good but when half the enemies are tunnel visioned you get afew kills. I've noticed the Sparrows seem to crit alot or ignore your radar lock and go for another plane. Whether it's a glitch or not IDK, but sparrows seem to love ignoring your lock on enemies and instead flying right into F14's on your team.

I don't know if this was a skill issue on the part of my enemies, but I've managed to win turn fights against MiG-29s on several occasions with this thing. Great plane.

Why when I'm in PD mode low to the ground but no obstruction, my radar just randomly gives out whenever my missle is about to hit? Or why sometimes do the 7Fs just completely go the opposite direction of the radar?

I would say, for purchase, it depends. Do you have an F4? Then no. If not it's a great premium to purchase.

even if you have one its a good purchase, if you like the phantoms and want one that is less punishing to use and simultaniously more rewarding, its still a good buy. Plus there may not be anything to research now but there will be in the future and you can research those really quick; it will either way be a great buy for anyone who likes the F-4 Phantom series. The only real downside is the lack of smart ordnance, granted if it had them it would be TV Guided so it would be shit ordnance anyway.

A type of radar, that helps distinguish enemy planes from ground clutter, and could also see longer range. The F-4 was ahead of it's time because of this radar. Pretty much all planes have it now

F-4S Is NOT good for ground rb for one reason and that is the pantsir S1, it can lock you out of spawn and kill you before you even know the missile is in the air

That goes for basically all CAS flying rn against russia. I use it for cas by low and fast nap of the earth flights and pop up rocket runs have don't we well so far. But yea russian a d german missile AA make it difficult for sure

With premium, a victory and the fact I get at least 2-3 kills I tend to make 15-20k RP and at least 30-60k SL if not more. Definitely amazing for grinding if you have Phantom experience

the A-10s are honestly pretty shit and easy to kill, not to mention the artificial limitations on both of them that keep them from even being able to be good at their job. They'd be "ok" if they ever remove the nerf and correct them but its a US vehicle so that will never happen

Well this plane is the finish line how to criple grind for US top tier jets for the US faction. After getting tru br10 with all those newbies and their f5c, Trams, A10a bomb loadouts now they will be even in the top tier. Newbies whic can not handle jet engine, energy fighting, aiming will now have added radar and the skill issue will continue. GL to us all to grind our F16s and F14s modules via 35-40% win rate ratio.
