Would you ever consider selling the schematics/CAD files to others who would like to replicate your setup? I see so much potential in a 'business' here, especially with the pneumatic cylinders used for both the extending solar panels as well as the foot-step for entering/exiting the bed? Speaking of the bed, is the width 7th feet or the length 7 feet? From the video, it appears as if you sleep perpendicular to the length of the truck and that does not look to be 7 feet...then again, with the wide-eye camera lens, things could get a little dis-proportionate! :-)

I like the 360. It’s very interesting in that small space. Your movements are smooth so it isn’t bad at all. It’s also nice to see a three people involved in the conversation.

Glad you're addressing the 360 dilemma. I watch KZbin on my smart TV and 360 videos just don't work on it. Whenever I come across a 360 video I just exit and move on so I'm glad that you're taking another look at it.

Thats ok! Thats how we learn and grow. I appreciate the feedback and still feel like there is a good application for it, but I think it's best when the camera is on a tripod in place to keep the motion down and to make it easier to follow the points of interest in a tour! Thank you for watching and hope you enjoyed!

Oh ya the everlander rig is diy awesomeness for sure! I remember seeing their tour vid a time back when I searched overland rigs and I was blown away with the ingenuity. I must say that I do love seeing all different manner of rig builds and I totally dig the diy individual build diversity that suits each overlanders style wants and needs, from the minamalist rigs to the over the top rigs. I appreciatively squirrel away inspirational ideas for use on my own unique rig build one day.

I never liked 360 footage. Film making is about telling a story and that story is crafted by the maker. I feel like the 360 tech is just that... tech. It doesn't add to your story and doesn't let the viewer pay attention to it because we spend our time swiping... :(

Its actually really high-quality video it's just that KZbin always starts it at a really low-resolution rate. Technology just needs to catch up with us. But I think that the tours are best to be guided for sure!

I thought he said he would eventually put thermal windows in there. He hadn't done it yet because they were too expensive at $2000 each.
@RichardCrabbe4035 жыл бұрын
Everyone has their own needs, for Jason and Kara, they came up with work arounds to mitigate the need for windows that for them work so well that having windows isn't an issue anymore. I seriously doubt they would spend enough time inside to impact their mental health. The outside is just a step away! Not to mention never having to deal with monitor glare!
@ShmuelWeintraub5 жыл бұрын
Michael: There's lots of light outside. If you are thinking people spend all day inside their RVs... I have to say I've never met anyone who does that. Maybe the folks with the $500k Prevost or whatever might try it... but RVing is about being outside.

Yeah, the 360 didn't work for me either. But this technique made me feel a little queasy. Had to stop watching after a few minutes. I understand the purpose of it but the distortion cancels out the benefit for me.
