F-GSPN is still flying! Over the past week (Sept. 2024) it has flown between Paris and Beijing, Delhi, Quebec, Boston, Ho Chi Min City, Conakry and San Jose!

That was indeed a "Touching Gesture" as Papa-November saluted Tahiti for the final time & ever so gently rolled its wings from side to side!! This is a rather iconic aircraft & without a doubt regular travellers & especially on this particular route will certainly miss this aircraft type for sure!! I guess similar aircraft together with others of the same age etc, etc will go to that sad place where aircraft go to die & even worse be cut up into much smaller pieces without a mere thought for all the hard work they have done over the years!! Haere rā, (Maori, New Zealand for good-bye or farewell)

I am very sad that the Air France 777s are losing control on their destinations. The cabin on the 350 sucks compared to the 777 cabin. At least on Air France.

C'est facile de savoir et on sait tous que AirFrance a décidé depuis longtemps de remplacer leurs Boeing 777-200ER, Airbus A380 et A330 par des Airbus A350. Il y a également les Airbus A318 et A319 qui sont déjà en remplacement par des A220.

Yeah AirFrance is replacing their 772s, A330s and A380s by A359s. The A318s and A319s by the A220 but as for the 77W, they're still quite young so there is no replacement yet planned, except if the 777X comes out one day...

AF is not a nationalised airline. And as all the majors, they optimize their fleet by getting more efficient aircrafts. The 777 is a beautiful airplane, but the -200 serie in AF fleet is quite old now so it makes sense to replace them with airplanes that own the latest technology🤷‍♂️
