Pardon my saying, but this conflict has produced the most amazing real-time battle footage I've ever seen. Between the GoPro cams of individual soldiers and the eyes in the skies drones, we're seeing the grit of war in a whole new way. This stuff will be studied for decades, maybe centuries to come.

Right, it's the first time in a very long time that there hasn't been a modern war with such close combat. With current techniques, we are with them on the battlefield. I've been wondering about the "blind fire" thing. In Vietnam War movies if a squad or platoon is going out in the field I'd wonder why soldiers are given like 2 or 3 clips when it's more likely they'll need 10 or 20. Assuming of course that their post has plenty of clips in stock.

I'm a bit south of Baltimore, USA and same here on the American network news...... the one thing that most deserves contempt is their reckless potential threat to national security for "the scoop". Next is their deliberate disregard for fact-checking until they're pressed to clean up their mess....... for hypothetical example, "USA F-16s slated for delivery......", disregarding the fact it's not USA supplying Ukraine with them but allies who own the F-16s. Yes, "Made in USA" but not supplied by USA.

The loss of the city of Bakhmut was a major blow to the Kiev regime which is still denying its defeat. Two days after the Ukrainian military retreated from their “fortress”, Kiev attempted a large provocation on the Russian border aimed at gaining headlines in the MSM in order to hide the truth from Bakhmut. The Ukrainian attack in the Belgorod region has no military goal. However, it is strategically important to create a necessary image in the media. As it was the case in March, Ukrainian's shelled the villages, crossed the border, fired at the local civilians, sowing panic, took some photos and fled away. This is another fake victory of the Kiev regime. Zelensky has always been exchanging lives of his soldiers and officers for likes on the social media.

I was listening to the G7 comments by our president Biden , and the other world leaders regarding the assumption that defending and aiding the Ukraine is also protecting ourselves from future despotism. I am a bit distressed that it all sounds self serving, which it might well be. I yearn to hear these ministers and democratic leaders speak to the fact, in my humble opinion, that we do what we do to aid Ukraine simply because it is the right thing to do.

Agree with you the West persuaded Ukraine to give up nuclear weapons so they should have provided them with Western equipment to compensate, modern jets and missiles and Tanks etc. This war may have been avoided if Russia could see invasion would be costly. Often in politics leaders have to appeal to the baser and more pragmatic instincts of the voting public. The West support Ukraine because if they don't the forntline NATO states will be next in the firing line from Russian aggression. It is not always a bad thing though, because that same thing motivates support for Ukraine, who really are on the frontline fighting for 'western values', whatever multitude of things that means. The Russian phrase Job Tvomatj means "go fuck your mother" and has given the Russians the word for foul language Matj. It seems to be a common theme in barrack room language to make reference to an opponents lack of sexual prowess and ability to attract and engage with non-family members of the opposiite sex. Similar disparaging views are also expressed against gays although this is slowly being phased out in the modern military.

History will remember the toughness and bravery of the Ukrainian army fighting for their homeland and the weakness of the Russian Conscripts fighting a war they want nothing to do with. You would think the Russians would have learnt a lesson from Afghanistan and stayed within their borders.

The thing is when you see clips like these you think that if they captured them they would kill them but quite the contrary. There has been cases but they are rare. pows are treated under the Geneva conventions standards. Most of them get given cigs as well. Most pows realise within the first minutes that they are not Nazis but just fighters. This is because Ukranians are massively Christian and religious or not Christians have Morales

What’s funny is you don’t even notice how much they’re swearing since they sound so damn cool. I know I’d be saying every word under the sun if I was in their shoes. This war has a lot of emotion tied into it especially since it was a completely unnecessary one the swearing shows that emotion

Sorry to flood the comments, but at 7:00 we see our friendlies "walking tall" across that front line in the very definition of "flanked". And for 20 seconds at that. Battleships of courage, these soldiers. Which leads to yet another point I so often see...... our POV and comrade standing tall while reveling. Oh..... yeah that's a most def...... just more battleship....... I do wonder why we don't hear rounds overhead. My sister and a friend (at 10 yrs old) were walking across a golf course when they heard what they thought was huge bees flying above them, but then the sound of shots fired followed. They dived into a sandpit and waited...... this was about 20 years before cell phones. TVP you are one exceptional organization.
