I managed to ride with a friend yesterday that has the V1 7m so we did a direct overlay. Turns out the size is very similar, the only difference we could find was the center strut was a couple of inches shorter. This does add up to significant surface area but not the size difference that I was expecting to see in the wing tips.

I bought the CWC v3 8m, thanks u coz 7m would be so small power...yesterday I tried 7 knots range(max9) based in a airport station, and I was not able to fly with 1750cc AR5.6 2L I'm 1,77m 5'9 76kg

I’m excited to hear how you like the 8. I’m guessing at your weight it will be amazing.

Thanks for the review! Please revisit this video in the comments or make a follow up video once you had a few more sessions on it and dialed into it. Would be interesting to hear if you still feel the same way.

Unfortunately we’ve had nothing but rain with no wind for the last few weeks.

Same to me. I’m learning and replace v2 8m to v3 8m seems like much stiffer and I was able to pump it finally! I test it on ground first time in 15 knots just to feel in the hands. It’s pull forward now! I like this a bit more. Definitely less grunt, can’t say that it’s bad! Can some one make a video how properly pump this wing please 🙏 ?

I think Jeremy from the Oceanbound channel had remarks about the pumping technique in his review video.

F-One has short clips on Facebook showing how it works but not really that helpful to me. Mostly the pumps are just smaller and faster when before I was doing deep full body pumps. They are also promoting the idea of lower PSI in the leading edge for people used to that softer feeling wing.

@secondlife A friend of mine with the v3 8m told me the same thing , and told me the 9m v3 is probably equivalent to the v2 8m, the true successor of the v2 might be the duotone ventis afterall !

I heard the CWC V3 being less powerful than the CWC V2 from two people recently.. Both of them are advanced enough wing foilers meaning they can ride waves & tack relatively well. Both of my friends still like the V3 though.. Well, I will stay with my current V2 (4.0,m2) which I bought used recently for a while. I have to get 7.0 m2 size wing, I am seriously considering North Nova 2022 (for the price) or North Mode 2023... Decisions... decisions.. Oh well... 😂🤣

I made a quick update today. One thing I forgot to mention is how well the new one handles with full power, very much improved over old one. Also, handle pass maneuvers, the new handles are helping so much in all my tacks, gybes, 360s etc. Update here- kzbin.info/www/bejne/n5jPmKdnq6p2eMk

the newer pump technique should help a little getting it up in light winds at least it does with the 5.5m. it's funny cause the 5.5 finally feels like it has more power, so I guess the bigger ones feel like they have less? I can see that, but I wonder if that new technique really opens them up.

That’s what I’m hoping! I definitely need more time to find out but it won’t change the size issue. At the end of the day if I can get a smaller easier to handle wing with the same or similar light wind ability of the V1 I will be super stoked. Unfortunately, right now I’m wishing I had bought an 8m instead. Weight could also lend better for lighter riders in the new pumping style compared to someone my size at 200lb. Does the 5.5 feel the same as far as sizing goes?

Hello Carson, thanks for the review. I'm 5'10" as well and looking for a light wind weapon. Do you think the 8m would be small enough to pump without hitting the tips all the time? I guess if the 7m feels like a 6-6.5m to you, maybe the 8m will feel like a 7-7.5m?

I think the 8 would still be pretty easy to handle. The main factor is your weight and what size foil you plan on using.

I have the same model as you since 1 month now, do you notice any flaping canopy? Mine is doing that all the time..
@snugkillsit
@snugkillsit Жыл бұрын
The canopy is much stiffer and tighter than the old one but I do notice flapping in the trailing edge canopy as I try to learn the new quick and short pumping style. It feels like that style of pump just leaves the trailing edge flapping in place when before I was able to to big circular pumps leaving the canopy tight.

5’10”, sorry I don’t know in meters. 90 kg on 95L board. Switched from 1550cm foil to 1850cm. Will be great when wind is stronger, was more like 10-11 kn that day but kind of wish I had gone to 8m since winds are typically light here.

1,77 meters, almost as me, but I weight less. The difference in weight between then it's just 270 gr...I think I can go to 8m.thank a lot

@@snugkillsit I think the real key to light wind winging is a downwind board. Ever since I bought one I've been getting up with my V1 6m CWC in below 10kn on a 1300cm Axis foil (ART PRO 1201). Anyway thanks for the review! I too am thinking about getting the 8m now :-)

Aloha! And big mahalo for sharing this video. We bought 2m and 5m strike v3 because we have 3 3.5 4 4.5 v2 and we love it and I we are so disappointed with this new model. Yesterday I couldn’t get on foil with my 5m strike v3 (15 knots) so I pump my 4m strike v2 and I was having fun for more than 2 hours. I didn’t like at all the strike v3. Then I asked a friend of my to try it before he is a better rider and he didn’t like either. So guys, I highly recommend you try it before buy it. We are selling ours now.

@@dapowerelectricmaui interesting to hear you dislike it that much. F-one is really pushing the idea of 2 psi less in the leading edge for people used to that softer feel pump. Next time I go out in light wind I’m going to give that a try.
