It was due to this 06:03 on the straight. No one wanted to see moves from Schumacher like in 1997 against Villeneuve, but Schumacher learned this from the old generation.

@@PAF527V Yes, but some DFR engines (updated DFV) had 3.5L displacement. Last season for that engine was 1991.

Cheers for the memories mate. Ask nowadays' drivers to take one hand off the electronically enhanced steering wheel for a manual shifting with the other hand and they'll shit their pants. Dunno if I'm just old; but aren't speed and gears the only thing a driver needs to be seeing on his display in order to drive? And let's not even talk about the difference in raw sounds...

The Benetton had a manual transmission, the next year was when it first had a semi-automatic gearbox.

This is a manual transmission. That's why he s reaching. ..To shift gears in a few of these races. ... Those where until his semi automatic car arrived.
