Having the right camera settings can make a difference not only to how you view F1 2021, but how you drive in F1 2021.
In this F1 2021 camera settings tutorial I'll show you my settings, provide some advice on what to change, and we'll also look at the all-new Nose Camera as well as the kinds of settings F1 Esports pros like to use.
The Camera Settings menu for F1 2021 is a little different to F1 2020, as the values go from +20 to -20, instead of +100 to -100. The theory is the same however, and if you found the best camera settings for F1 2020 you should be able to translate them easily.
Let me know in the comments if you would like me to try recreating real-world camera views; if there's enough interest I may make a video on them.

Just done a few hot laps in Monza with my usual camera vs changing angles and field of view. Using the same car and setup…. I am 0.3 sec faster with the different camera angle. Thank you for your video 👏🙌

Always great videos. I trying centering the offset pod view tonight. Works great. The only thing I have noticed is if you ‘look backwards’ it is based off the off-centered view and not your new camera position. Hope this is something that can get fixed in an update. Same is 2020 game.

I think it won’t change. We’re basically tricking the camera into doing something it wasn’t meant to do, whereas the rear camera isn’t customised.

My brightness is on default, and I don't play in HDR as my capture card passthrough doesn't support it.

Not really. The main reason for Offset is that you need to pull the camera way back, further than standard can get you.

Look up Josh Idowu; he's a McLaren esports driver and had a video on the settings. I essentially tried to mirror his ones when making the alternate version, he deserves a view 🙂

I found the perfect camera settings. But everytime I race with another car the camera needs to be adjusted. Very irritating. Either it is too far back or too far forward that half the mirror gets blocked. What setting should me changed first? The Horisontal offset or field of view? Car specific is disabled and it is set to global

Turn on car-specific and then change the Horizontal Offset.

Assuming you can open the menu, it should be fairly straightforward. Bear in mind you need to press A to confirm the changes, pressing B will cancel them.

It's rather nice. The FOV feels a tiny bit tight, but I like the position. If you have a wheel it really looks down the nose rather well.

Cockpit camera is great, but I'm not a fan of it with my big screen. If I could customise the new nose cam that would be the best one for me. Just a little more FOV and less camera shake.

For some reason I just don’t have the OSD customization option , I’ve tried it in time trial , gp , from the menu , and even my team practice sessions but I never get the option . Really frustrating , amazing video though thank you 👍

You need to be on the track for it to appear, not in garage/menus.

The alt nose camera is great, but one frustrating thing is that you can't turn the HUD off while using it (DRS/overtake notification disappears which I think you need)

It's not a rule, I gather they like that view because of the narrower FOV making it easier to gauge the speed of each corner. If you want the same view but on the Offset camera, look up Jarno Opmeer's video on it 😀

May be slightly different depending on what car you're in, so feel free to tweak accordingly.

I'm so confused!! Is offset horizontal supposed to be at 20 or -20? There's an article about the esports style and all the numbers are the exact same, but for offset horizontal the article says -20.

If it's the "article" I'm thinking of, they took the numbers from this video 😏 +20 moves it forward, -20 moves it backward. Esports view likes the camera a little more forward though I recommend looking up Jarno Opmeer's settings just to check.

All my high angle T-Cam settings are the same. You may need to tweak the Horizontal offset if the airbox clips, but for the most part it's all the same.

Fanatec, Thrustmaster and Logitech all have official websites. I recommend looking up reviews and comparisons first before you buy, and start cheap. Logitech G29 is a good starter wheel.

Maybe you accidentally change your settings, check if you have the same button or pedal for braking and camera change

You've double-binded your buttons. You probably have a the brake and change camera buttons mapped to the same thing.

I would imagine the more of the car you see, the more framerate demands there are. Worst-case, drop some graphics settings; crowds, reflections and ground cover are usually the big FPS killers in a racing game.
