The Interlagos circuit hasn’t changed much since 1991 and lap times in 1991 were only 6-7 seconds slower compared to in 2024.

I remember, closely following every race at the time, thinking that in 1991 Nigel Mansell was easily the strongest driver with a season of bad luck. Then in 1992 it was Senna who was clearly the driver who put in a championship run but just had no hope against the Williams technology. Either way, they both got their trophy. What a great time in F1.
