@@shfd3832 I never played motorsport manager, so I can’t really compare or comment. For sure, the game can be improved in certain areas and I have no doubt it will. But, for its first instalment and no recent game to compare to I think it’s brilliant! Just enjoyable to play, whilst being a challenge. Go for Williams or Aston if you want to maximise the challenge

When designing a new part, and its asking for focus. Just move all the sliders to the right. It doesn't compromise the other areas and maximises development
@Jeanphillipe092 жыл бұрын
That's just an exploit, which I imagine they'll patch out of the game soon enough. Does it work? Sure. Will it make the game pointlessly easy for you? Pretty much. There's no point - you're only playing against yourself, and you're making the game too easy.
@michaelsson7402 жыл бұрын
When going full attack in the race you need to consider the wear of your power train components, too! Caught me by surprise that the power train of one driver (who is frequently on attack, because screw you, Yuki) had significant higher damage than the other. Otherwise, great content! Thanks!
@Kireth2 жыл бұрын
Great point! You can use old parts in practice to mitigate this a bit

I usually design my strategy around a max pace, since that gives me the lowest total race time. Reducing the pace in a drs train is a great tip

I won with Albon in Canada with the fastest lap thanks to starting in the rain in my first season. He was actually able on hards to battle Perez on mediums in the dry thanks to DRS. Goatifi came 4th and but he made it very difficult. Could have finished anywhere between 3rd and 6th. Low speed performance was miles off so i've just focused on developing high and medium speed.

Watch your fuel is a big thing in the game. More fuel you burn the faster you can overtake the person infront. But then you gotta watch and make sure you can make it till the end. design and research is a big part also.
@Takhar72 жыл бұрын
The "attack" modes in the race may give you more pace, but they absolutely slaughter your powertrain components.

It also means in practice if you run the lowest setting on all three modes (Pace/Fuel/ERS) you get the lowest wear on components during practice

I think I got a good understanding for most of the things so far but I do have two questions, if anyone could answer these?! :c 1. Around what percentage would it be advised to take a grid penalty by putting in a new engine/ers/gearbox? I'm at the point of the game where I already using all allowed components and most of them are between 65-70% almost. 2. If designing new parts do you design parts for upcoming tracks on the calendar or do you compare to your current competitor? Like if you play red bull you compare to Ferrari and vice versa. thanks for the content looking forward for more!
@Kireth2 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure, but I think you can stack your grid penalties and take multiple parts at the same race? I had a glitch though where albon was burning a gearbox in each practice session I just design parts according to my car philosophy. I dunno if you've seen my setups video but you can't make a per track setup, it's where the driver wants it

I never really payed F1 a ton of attention. I just chose Ferrari because I like Ferraris and my first season was pretty great fun, except for being horrible in the rain. What a great game.

I restarted the season because of the ATR reset, cuz I wasted the hours… best tip. Learn from my mistake: the game gives you the headsup that xy driver has 6 mo left of the contract, resign them. Dont hire the replacement at that point as it is happening on the spot, i couldnt find the hire for next season option…

I disagree with tip 1. Going agressive has caused me massive issues. Namely, my tires begin to heat up to red numbers and so too do my brakes, and before I've had time to realize I've had two slides and two break locks in the same race and lost like 6 positions per driver. Similarly, my engine and gearbox wear down massively and it forces me to keep making more and more copies of them.
@Kireth2 жыл бұрын
It's a very good point. But you can always run old parts in practice and save newer ones for the races. I do need to investigate brake cooling vs lock ups though

People you don't need to think about anything in this game. You don't need to do set ups you don't need to think about tires as long as they are over 30 % you don't lose any time or anything. Don't use you CFD hours and wind tunnel hour's on upgrading for the season you are doing use them for next year's car so you become first in every thing. Hire the best crew and just sim every season. The only thing you need to do a bit is upgrade your car few times pr season and you can win every race and season. This game is utter garbage of a game
