So my problem is that both seats have an issue. You turn on the cooling the fan kicks on for like 10 seconds and it shuts off. It does this for both seats. I'm not even sure how long the rest is on this before you can try again. I noticed this while driving so I couldn't just turn the car off, and since I'm driving I tend to forget about this and then try again later and the same thing will happen, I just don't know how long it was between tries. I can tell you it was quite a bit of time, like 30 or more minutes. I can go check the pins but I feel like this is something bigger. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@leenelson72 жыл бұрын
@@FordBossMe it seems to have all happened at once. When I push the button on the dash to demand either heated or cooled for both driver or passenger seat, the light stays on as if it’s supposed to start working but the heating element in both seats does not turn on nor does the fan for cooling. So I’m a little stumped, I don’t know when it started as I didn’t need to use either feature in the fall since the weather was nice. But I can say the failure has occurred within the past 3 months.

@@leenelson7 if you have heated & cool seats there is no heating element. The seats operate on a different principle. I have a 2019 F150 where my drivers side heat is not working but I do not have the control module where you are showing. I have only 1 main connecter under the seat. Is the module located somewhere else?

I’m having issues getting the connections unplugged? Did you have any issues with this? If so, any tips?
@FordBossMe3 жыл бұрын
If you're having issues getting the connections on plug it's probably because there's a burned up in inside holding it together
@FordBossMe3 жыл бұрын
And the tabs can be tricky to press in so push the connector in as if you're trying install it then push the clip and then push back

@@FordBossMe I believe that’s the issue. Thanks for the help

Having this problem with driver's side only. Passenger side is fine. Any clue to what could be the problem?
@FordBossMe3 жыл бұрын
It's the problem that I spoke about in this video And it could be the seat heaters themself
@FordBossMe3 жыл бұрын
Still do what I did in this video before you rule that out don't just think because it's the driver side only that this won't fix it

I can figure out the two smaller plugs and to unplug them, but the bigger one I can seem to remove. Is there a trick or clip?

I had a similar issue. I got it off knowing I was going to have to replace something. So I pushed the tab, wiggled, pushed in and pulled back, didn’t work…..so I used extra force and yanked it off. It was burnt at the ground. So you may need to use some extra power to get it

My seats get cool but my back in both driver and passenger heat up when cooling is on
@FordBossMe Жыл бұрын
Well you got to watch my videos and do what I show you to do check your connections under the seats if the connections are good and the lower blowers are working then you probably have to replace the ones upper

I wish Town Cars had cooled seats
@FordBossMe3 жыл бұрын
So what this thermoelectric device does it's just cool the ambient air temp down 15 degrees and that's it it doesn't actually really cool the air it pulls some heat out of it thus cooling it
