The Dayco kit looks like a quality kit. I noticed Japan on the Motorcraft idlers. I couldn't see if the Dayco idlers had Japan on them. I'd much rather see Japan on parts than China. Ford may very well in deed source the timing components from Dayco.

How much labor is required to change the belts. I'm at around 70,000 miles on my 3l diesel and have extended warranty until 90,000 miles. If it makes it until the warranty is up I will definitely do the belts asap. Or, I could come down and have you do it. I hate having dealerships do any work like this.

Appreciate the video, probably need to look at doing the timing belt on our 2016 Range Rover. Just found oil in my intake yesterday, so looks like a turbo is in my future as well. I was looking for a coolant leak, noticed some leaks around the top of the engine. So those will need to be addressed as well. Have you changed a turbo on a Range Rover?

Haven't don't a turbo on a JLR but it's just nuts and bolts. It's not out of my wheelhouse

@@CPsGarage Yea, I think the issue is mainly access. Book recommends pulling engine. I have seen a couple of folks on KZbin do them on discos and they did it by pulling the driver side suspension apart to get to it.

@@GinosGarageUSA at least on the L494 the WSM says you can do the turbo in cab. I don't know how different the L405 is in the engine bay though.
