Mercedes SHOCKING Realisation Of F1 Mistakes!

Mercedes performance at the Canadian Grand Prix took many people aback. For the opening eight races of the season, they were unquestionably the fourth fastest team on the grid, comfortably ahead of customer team Aston Martin but unable to challenge the front three. Yet come round nine, they all of a sudden had a pole position worthy car and were capable of winning the race. Yes, they had upgrades, but this is the same Mercedes team who’s previous upgrades have been as temperamental as a teething toddler. So what happened in Canada? Have Mercedes finally figured out how to work within the current technical regulations? Or was this just a one off fluke? Let’s check it out.

totally agree, The weather as well as the track were kind of unique with regards to a reliable "test" of real improvements. It wass only 1 race and honestly, Barcelona is actually a better, more reliable "Test track". We'll all have a better idea come Monday

Um having a "no blame" culture does NOT mean having no criticism. It's supposed to be the exact opposite. The whole point is that you can be critical of everything, and no one gets blamed. Apparently I should be working in F1.

If the FIA wants closer racing this year immediately, increase curb hight on race tracks. RB will struggle. Mercedes fall only looks so great because of previous success. Considering what they have lost staff wise they are preforming pretty decently it's just not were people are used to seeing them, they are on the rise in my opinion it's just not going to be overnight.

I definitely have my doubts that they will keep this up. Its all about consistency. I'm hopeful that Merc will keep up the form, but they have these ups from time to time and then way too many downs.

Very true. I think I do say that was more due to their consistency than anything else, or I might not of actually. But they only managed 2nd because Ferrari, Aston Martin, and McLaren all had periods where they were awful while Mercedes just consistently finished somewhere between 8th and 4th.

Mercedes biggest issue in the last 3 years was keeping Hamilton as their No. 1 driver. They needed someone who could help develop the car.
