Since Harriet was gone,felt so bad and emotionally sad about it that l stop for a while watching m15 and the his new found love f23.but once in a while since l really love eagles,l still check and watch them,l know they starting to build the nest for upcoming breeding seasons they're just so beautiful ❤❤

The American Bald Eagle is our National Bird and as such is protected. The bald eagle is a symbol of strength. Like the eagle, I encourage all Americans to be like our national symbol strong, overcoming and soaring. I encourage everyone to go an eagle center and learn about the eagle.

Something has to be done to get the drivers in this area to start caring about these Eagles (and other Wildlife) and to Slow Down before something bad happens. M15 is amazing !!! And roadkill needs to be moved away from the road - it would be too tragic to lose either M15 or F23. Perhaps some speed cameras need to be installed (with hefty fines for speeding) - oh and the footage of M15 (and F23) was amazing - one has to be in awe watching them in flight.

We are advocating to reduce the speed limit, designate the area as a ‘Wildlife Crossing,’ and install ‘Low Flying Eagles’ signs. We began collecting signatures last season, and while it’s still in the early stages, we’re making progress. Changing a road’s designation or speed limit requires extensive paperwork and the cooperation of DOT, county, and city officials, so it’s more challenging than it may seem. Usually, we monitor roads near the nest for roadkill and often remove it to keep the area safe for eagles. On this particular day, the animal was hit after photographers had already arrived at the nest-not while we were on the way. Two photographers were ahead of me, about 1,000 feet from the carcass. Thankfully, she safely took the food and flew over the road. Having spent summers in Grand Teton and Yellowstone, I’m well aware of the dangers wildlife face from vehicles; in fact, the Queen of the Tetons was fatally struck on a road that I often traveled during my summer visits to the park, making it all the more impactful to witness the risks wildlife face. Vehicle collisions are unfortunately the most common cause of wildlife injuries and fatalities. Thank you so much for watching and taking a moment to comment!

❓Does anyone know if the petition and effort to get speed limit dropped some in front of nest worked! I never heard either way. Seems like F23 is more daring when it comes to grabbing roadkill off that road than M15. Maybe M15 is more street smart than her. Most of all the people that drive the road in front of the eagles nest do so DAILY, they need to slow down and if one of them is in the road which im sure you can clearly see them put on their breaks really!!!! Guess the SPEED limit was never lowered on that stretch of road

Yes, the traffic is terrible! A couple of months ago, I spoke to a sheriff who mentioned they had stopped over 20 cars for speeding within just three hours. You dont have to be interested in this nest or love the eagles or any wildlife to try to protect it. Signs should be posted along that part of the road. People are ignorant

I’ve spoken with a deputy who was at the nest, and emails have been sent to the DOT. Our goal is to have the area designated as a Wildlife Crossing.
