F33 2016 BMW 435D M Sport Convertible XDrive Condition & Specification Review

Hi just wanted to know if the roof can be operated with the key fob? Looking at a 435d xdrive for speed and stability or will a 435i or 440i be more fun?

Not as standard but I believe it can either be coded or a module fitted to make it happen. The Xdrive is nicely balanced with more power going to the rear. You miss the sound of the petrol engines but this is incredibly quick with the benefit of decent fuel economy

Hard roof technology is a copy of 4 seater Volvo C70 2006+ not Mercedes... I say a copy because Volvo C70 was a first to come up with advanced hard roof operation for 4 seater and it's the most reliable to date! BMW has moving plastic mouldings and clips in a roof panel and it's the most common problem, because they brake easily. Volvo C70 doesn't have that - no plastic parts! If you look at the operation and roof panels you will understand what I'm talking about.

Lovely car but they sit ridiculously high for a sports convertible...need lowering springs about 20mm front and back nothing silly

no they dont because they have more travel, lower it and you will ruin it...... want a rough ride, BUY A BLOODY M4

Xdrive models sit higher than rwd models. I know what you mean though
