Beautiful bike, John! I just picked up a 2018 with 42 miles for $17,500 and I already have about 1500 miles on the odometer--great mods! New sub!

Man for a 2018 with only 45 miles that's all you paid? That's one hell of a deal! Is that the one with the top case or without?

@@johnk12345100 likes and dislikes of your new one vs your old?
@johnk123451004 жыл бұрын
@@RanGer-498 I can't really think of anything that I don't like about this one that I like about the other one! I like having cruise control although I've barely use it, I still use that Omni Cruise more as I not a long distance rider the time oh, but I did use it a ton on my 3-hour ride back from Charleston with the bike and it was great! I didn't realize how much I was going to love the self-canceling turn signals but I do love them! I use my new heated grips constantly during the winter and spring! So nice not to have to wear gloves all the time. The sound on these new ones, with the ceramic pipes is just amazing compared to the old one! And then major major love is the paint! That red one stayed dirty, not just because of the color but the texture of the paint, this Matt white stays looking great always! And I don't know what but this matte paint seems to reject any dirt! Check out my video, did a full review when I just picked it up, and a couple afterwards

What kind of bag do you use with your luggage rack, I just ordered a Black one just like yours! Thanks again
@johnk123451003 жыл бұрын
Excellent! I sold the red one a couple of years ago not sure if you can see my white one in my picture now, I went with the 2016 Deluxe matte white finish. It's the best bike I've ever owned and I will never let it leave my garage as long as I'm alive! I got a bunch of repair videos for the F6B and just other stuff to do with the F6B if you haven't checked them out do so. Did you get a deluxe? I don't really have any specific luggage set up, actually I just use a gym bag, I don't do a whole lot of cross-country usually day trips. But this thing can definitely handle the cross-country for sure.

Might have missed it but did you mention your throttle lock? I have a '14 f6b and am looking for some type of cruise control / throttle lock. I have owned many bikes including an '07 Goldwing with all the bells and whistles so I really miss relaxing my right hand on long trips.
@johnk123451007 жыл бұрын
Don Turano , funny you ask that, it's on my next video, part 2, Omni lock is the name of it I'm pretty sure, and yes it's a great wrist relaxer on long trips, I do not miss my cruise control at all, of course I've only taken one long trip, 2300 miles in four days, I did use it quite a bit on that trip, also that crampbuster is King! thanks for watching

I have a Brand called Throttlemeister that replaces your Bar end Weights and it works by applying Friction to the Grip. I also have a Aftermarket Fully Electronic Cruise Control by McCruise and I love it.

Yes I saw your cruise control and looks good. If i did more long distance, would definitely look into this but this is a poor old dad video! LOL

G'day, mate. I know you posted this review 6 years ago but does a fullface helmet fit in the paniers?
@johnk12345100 Жыл бұрын
If you're sitting on the bike, the left side saddle bag might fit your helmet, I have an extra large full face modular that I put in this saddlebag but it required me to push on it a little bit to get it in, eventually it ended up breaking my full face modular piece and pushed a permanent nut inside the helmet and I had to repair, so I would say if it's not a modular and just a full-face large you should be okay extra large like I said we'll be a tight fit but it could work

How smooth ( or not ) does it feel when your doing 'bout 100 mph. ? 5 or 6 gears ?
@johnk123451007 жыл бұрын
Eddie B. it feels as smooth as if you're doing 60 believe it or not, same at a hundred and ten miles an hour, there's no noticeable vibration, that's what's so scary, LOL you don't even know how fast you're going , I came from a cruiser, Vulcan 900, that rattled like crazy at anything above 75, 5 gears

I like them, I had to put some lock tight on left side as it kept coming loose but that solved it. Make sure you have them up high enough, when i bought the bike they were spun two notches lower and when i got into a turn a couple times they stuck and moved my back end around. almost fishtailed and lost it!

can you fit a full face helmet in your sidebags?
@johnk123451007 жыл бұрын
Great question! I have a xlarge full face that will fit in the left saddle bag,but its tight and I do apply a little pressure to close. Large or smaller, should fit great. you cannot put a full face in the right. I have not personally tried but read it and believe it. Right is smaller.

I just can't wrap my head around a cup holder on a bike. I would not be drinking (anything) and trying to drive. Just plain to dangerous
@johnk123451007 жыл бұрын
lol, I used to feel same way, but actually staying hydrated is really better for you and keeps you more alert. I drive in all temps, It was feel like 100 degrees yesterday on a 2 hour ride. I have a plastic cup with straw, you position the cup holder so you dont pick it up, I just lean forward, drink and ready to ride! You may want to get a windshield though keep the liquid in the cup instead of all over you! lol

I've always called my kickstand ..... the "sidestand"............ when I hear someone mention the kickstand I think right away about the center stand. So I wish riders/bikers out there would call it a "sidestand" and NOT a kickstand. Maybe it's just one of my pet peeves. lol

You're the first person in 42 years of motorcycling that I've heard call it a 'sidestand'. Kick stand and center stand are the way to go.
