Cheers Tommy, I'll definitely keep an eye on it. Like you I changed the tank to the new one with a different part number. After that I thought it wouldn't be happening again. Surely BMW needs to sort this problem out. This is going to cause a lot of people problems & ££££ that don't lift the bonnet now and again. Cheers again for the heads up 👍.

Dont know if you guys are aware but RK tunes is working on solving this issue and is coming out with a expansion tank upgrade very soon

Great overview, I had the same issue with my F90. Cylinder 6 misfire with the new tank. My fuel injector was covered in hard coolant. I replaced the injector and now I run the coolant level at the minimum level.

Tommy I’m coming to you soon for a Stage 1 with my base F90. Wanted to ask what your opinion is on turbo blankets? Will this help with the coolant issue?

My 2021 M550i is loosing coolant, around 900ml every 5000kms. No sight of coolant leaking anywhere but when the car is parked up after driving there's a strong smell of coolant. Its going back to the dealership to get it fixed.

mine has had a slightly uneven idle on cold starts over the last few weeks. But it has not done it in like 3 days. I definitely do not smell or see coolant on floor. It will likely be #6 misfiring if I do have this problem and not one of the others, right? 2019 46k miles Thanks for the video

That's exactly what I was thinking replicate the same shape and spray it black, and it will look the same and be better than any plastic rubbish. That bmw will make 👌

I get a misfire on start up like the car is sputtering for a few seconds and then the idle is perfect. I checked the coolant tank and it’s fine. I lifted it from its mount and checked underneath and I have no trace of coolant. I have 47k miles on it. Or possibly is it the Hpfp issue?Any ideas ?

The same exact thing happened to me. It turns out there was a severe leak, and I needed to replace the injectors, coil, and spark plug

Will feel tone of engine is off, vibration through chassis, engine light, lack of power Not something you could miss
