Great video and review Brian , just did a rinseless wash with Absolute this morning. It’s really great stuff I’m using ONR and my other Rinseless washes as a pre treatment spray now. Then using the Absolute in a bucket for the contact wash. The slickness and ease of use of Absolute is awesome. Do like the new DIY Rinseless to because of its foaming ability.

I'm using a capful of ONR & capful of Absolute in a 3 gallon bucket. Throw 10 microfiber towels in there. After I foam the car with P&S Pearl Shampoo,, rinse it down, then foam it again, I am using the microfibers towels for the contact wash. Then I rinse the car, spray bead maker on it as a drying aid, and dry it off with a gauntlet towel by the rag company. Your thoughts on this?

Great video! I live in MN, so rinseless is a must have product for me and it is the only method I use for maintenance washes year round. I've tried pretty much every rinseless out there, but ONR has been my tried and true standby for at least the last 5 years. Then Absolute came out and I was blown away. As you noticed, it is so slick and that quick flash after drying really makes it a winner. ONR would sometimes get streaky, especially with a cold vehicle and the humid conditions of a garage with temporary propane heat. Opti-Seal was always the solution for this...but with Absolute I have not had any issues. No matter what I do, I can't get it to streak...even at 64:1 dilution on glass. I also love the short term gloss enhancing/slickness properties (that lasts for about a week)...yet it doesn't cause any build-up or change the hydrophobics of ceramic coatings (as noted by Pan the Organizer). This makes it a perfect option for people who don't like to mask their coatings with drying aids/toppers. For people who still like to use soap, Absolute works really well as a drying aid/detail spray when diluted at 64:1.

Thank you! I will have to try it as a drying aid as you suggest. The more and more I use it the more I love it.

It have cleaning power, like DIY rinseless and Mckees 914?
@jayhoughton558 Жыл бұрын
@@Carlos.Rivera IMO, it has better protection than mckees 914 because absolute encapsulates with polymers where mckees doesn’t since it’s surfactant based. I haven’t tried DIY details yet, and it’s probably good, but the price is double what absolute costs here. There are other products that work well, don’t get me wrong, but for cost, and user experience absolute is at or among the top options. At the end of the day it’s personal preference.

I am just not sold on the safety of using sponges. How much of the grit actually makes its way down into the slits, 10 - 20%. I have been using multiple plush micro fibre towels and rolling the towel as you make a pass along the panel. Then fold to a new side, utilizing all eight clean sides. Once you have used all sides change to new towel, never introducing the dirty towel into the rinseless solution. if you like you can cap the bucket and reuse the solution. I can attest that this method is safe if you use proper technique. It has worked very well for me on soft Toyota black paint that mars very easily. Props to Gary Dean for showcasing this method on his you tube channel. Any thoughts ? Can you convince me that Sponges are safer ?
@FABAutomotiveDetailing Жыл бұрын
What I always say is if it works for you then keep doing it. I do both methods in fact I have a video coming out doing the multiple towel method. Majority of all scratches come during the drying process not the wash if using a high lubricity product. If your Rinseless product has plenty of lubrication and emulsifiers it will pull the dirt away from the surface when you wipe then leaves lubrication behind for your drying process. Hope this makes sense
@williambell7712 Жыл бұрын
@@FABAutomotiveDetailing I have not used a "drying Towel" since i purchased an Ego leaf blower. Now i blow the car dry, then chase the drips and spots with a drying aid, topper for lubrication. Applied with a 350 to 500 gsm plush towel. Automotive paint is getting softer and a lot thinner. I keep my cars for 10 plus years. So paint preservation is my top priority.
@jeffc6832 Жыл бұрын
@William Bell I'm a maniac when it comes to my vehicles, I see every scratch and every little tiny bit of marring...but I do all of my maintenance washing with rinseless and a BRS/UBS and have never had an issue. I also have a test panel (junkyard hood from a Chevy truck) with that famous soft GM black paint. I've seriously pushed it to the limits, and I have not seen any marring when using either the Big Red Sponge or Ultra Black Sponge in combination with a quality rinseless like Absolute/ONR. Based on my experience, I fully believe in the rinseless process and I like how safe it makes drying with a towel. If you're using soap and blow drying, give Absolute (diluted 64:1) a try when you're chasing drips/spots. If there was any dirt missed during the wash, its going to provide a lot better lubrication than most drying aids/toppers.
@williambell7712 Жыл бұрын
