Homeless Using Restrooms as Living Quarters at Venice

Doesn't Santa Monica Beach have a curfew? When I lived in Hermosa Beach, the hours were 6-Midnight. Huntington Beach I think were 6-10 pm. After that, they would kick you off the beach.

It's time to have bathroom attendances 24 / 7 who monitor and keep the bathrooms locked that aren't being used, and monitor the amount of time that each person is in there and refuse to allow anyone to take their shopping carts or bicycles into the bathroom.

florida park and rec goes around lock them up after sun set, and re-opened by 8am problem solved .. our workless people hide away from society at nite in wooded areas.. they are not much of a problem

Like I said and another person stated lock the doors at a certain time at night and they have to get out.Or no loitering in the bathrooms post it no over night will be locked. It gets unbelievable what they bring in the bathroom. C.M.

When I was homeless in LA yes I did camp in the bathrooms but at least I tried to keep them clean I kept my discarded trash all-in-one little pile so it would be easy for maintenance to remove during cleanups. I didn't bring a ton of crap in there for I was thankful to have a place for shelter and I know that I have a bad enough job as it is dealing with some of the homeless out there and how they treat these restrooms

well you were wrong theyre not for you to sleep in. Its not just about keeping them nice its the fact taht homeless shouldnt be abusing the facilities that are there for the public who pay taxes for amenities.

If you sent your kid to use a public bathroom would you appreciate some homeless stranger lurking in them who could be all kinds of mentally deranged & dangerous? Itsnot about keeping them clean its about you shouldnt be in them PERIOD. They are not an option. This is why we cant have nice things cause people like him ruin it. Public bathrooms get shut down or reduced to disgusting dumps.

I thought them to be far more dangerous by making me feel trapped inside. Have you ever took a look at how they abuse the restrooms? So please, don't tell me about it. thank you very much

However, it's not very safe for anyone to be out at night especially down at the beach these days. and the money spent and damage done to the restrooms costs everyone. the filth and diseases that are left behind. would you personally want to use those facilities? PS I'd like to know how you get a shopping cart in the restroom two people with junk and able to use the restroom.I don't think you'd have room. Lock the rest rooms up.Have a person that works for the parks and they let the people in to use not bring there junk in you'd not have this. C.M.

They #1 should not have dogs or pets of any kind. No shopping Carts. No access to the beach or boardwalk. No tents or structures. No camping. no RVs. Exclusion zones should be set up and enforced fully. The beach was already closed in Calif. from 10 pm to dawn. So who allowed them to camp? Fire those people. Send a clear message to everyone.
