My step brother was a park ranger in San Diego for 18 years. One day when he was on patrol he got into a scuffle with an angry homeless woman. She filed a complaint and he was suspended without pay pending an investigation and employment hearing. After 18 months waiting for the hearing he got fed up and gave up his career and fully funded pension. I later worked with a San Diego Police Detective who knew my step brother and was shocked at how the California State Government treated him. Two years later this Police Detective went through the same situation but because of his union representation he was able to retire with his pension.

this isn't going away. everything we are doing is not working. its a public problem for all citizens including themselves. accountable and deliberate solutions. we need to get public mental healthcare back in this country wo the torture and stigmas.

These workers should not be talking to people with mental illness. Just tell her what they need to do and don’t communicate with them. You just make it worse.

It is time for America to get together, for the homeless, And the veterans, American citizens period, America is really falling apart..
@edbrophy46025 ай бұрын
"City settlers"- many have settled and many more generations will forever arrive to settle. Historically we always have been and always will be a nation of city settlers - who pioneer and pioneered the ingenuity of communities across America-to accommodate many more settlements-and house many more future generations to come. Settlement and the will of the people established the foundation of the U.S. government.

The veterans deserve the help, no one who served should be homeless. Even the hippies of the 60's didn't live like the homeless do. They knew how to rub 2 nickels together.

We need to implement compassionate toughness. Allowing people to turn our public spaces into trash heaps is not acceptable. But, without some help to get on a better path, most of these people won't be able to change. These people deserve the opportunity to be helped because they're our fellow humans. But they also need to understand that society operates by certain rules that must be followed to reap the benefits of that society.

Yes for veterans, but not for those who are not veterans and choose to be homeless.

All that makes perfect sense but laws need to be changed,A lot needs to happen. We need more rehab centers & mental institutions, but staffing might be the hard part. You know no one is going to work in a nut house for 15$ hr. too

Isn't just so helpful, to only "inspect", every Friday, instead of every day. O', if the inspection was every day, it would minimize the "problem" and help the visiting public, that does not want to see that SHIZA.

Easier with a trash truck than to set up a program like other countries. Of course the public places need cleaned up. So hard to get politicians to spend our $ right.

All of these people standing around & watching these homeless be humiliated, listening to the rants. No offer of help, a bottle of water, a direction for where they can go safely. There but for the grace of God go I, and others who lose their jobs & homes. The government provided programs to support drug addiction & living on the streets. Now the money is gone so get rid of the people who were the excuse for funding.
