Hey Jerry. It’s Bluedasher. You used to give me chess lessons when I was 13 years old. I’m 21 now and in the Army. Just got back into chess after 5 years off and I feel so much more compelled to learn it in depth and take it seriously. Of course I stumbled across your channel again and I’m proud to see that you’re sticking true to what you love. Take care, friend.

I figure I would reply to your comment because it has the most thumbs up. Anyone who is interested in paying for the Live Stream of these championships on worldchess.com (which is $20) let me say the following (as I have bought it): The live stream can be slow to update the virtual chess board, some people had major problems with the cameras not working (not really me, mine was mostly fine) and apparently there are channels on youtube that have basically the same thing but for no cost. I'm happy with paying, but it may not be necessary. As for Jerry's twitch coverage: his Lichess board is slow to update (so sometimes several moves are made before he is aware), but his analysis and commentary are top notch, so much so I ended up having the livestream and his channel up in different tabs and I ended up watching the entire match. Highly recommend watching if you are able to.

Great analysis as always. You were very sharp and entertaining during the livestream. Magnus must be absolutely sick... This kind of missed opportunity really bothers players, especially Magnus. Meanwhile Fabi gets a psychological boost knowing that he escaped multiple lost positions. The pressure of his first world championship game won't be so bad in the next games. Sometimes this kind of thing turns Magnus into the Hulk tho, lol. Fabi won't like him when he's angry...

@kevnation55566 жыл бұрын
I would disagree. Failing to convert on an objectively winning position has got to hurt Magnus's confidence, even if he is the world champion. And it seems that he's been failing to convert these positions quite frequently of late (even against Fabiano at the sinquefield cup). If anything, I think Fabiano comes out of this game feeling more confident for the rest of the match, knowing that Magnus isn't playing up to his world champion potential.
