For people new here Gabriel has a heart condition (it doesn’t pump blood properly), nerve generated pain & allergies. The allergies or a combination of all conditions cause him to sometimes self mutilate, lately we found wounds on Gabriel’s legs from him biting them, but we also found a wound on his abdomen that he chewed down to the muscle layer so from that he was admitted as an emergency to our avian vet and has been there for over a week now, he will come home when his abdomen heals enough that it’s safe for him to come home. 🦜❤️

Carolyn St. Onge it’s very hard I miss my daily shoulder cuddle bug aka he naps on my shoulder. But I know he’s in the best place possible to continue healing and continue to be diagnosed so we can nail down his issues to avoid them in the future. He has a new collar as well which I believe is much bigger but it’s all for his safety from himself ❤️

I have no doubt he’s in great hands. Glad he has excellent vet care. Since he has a few different issues I’m sure it may take some time to balance everything out. Hopefully he’ll be home soon.

Carolyn St. Onge yeah we’ve been working on all his issues since March of this year and it’s been extremely expensive! But we’ve seen significant improvement as well so I can’t complain ❤️

Brenda Smith Gabriel is getting there slowly but surely 🙏🏻❤️ he unfortunately damaged his abdomen including the muscle layer so the vet is keeping him there til it’s fully healed.

My dog Peanut, after her Kitty mommies named Buddie went to heaven , she was lost without her. BTW: Peanut was taken away from her mother too early and Buddie was interspecies mother kitty/doggie Mommy

K G no that would be expensive, I don’t need that on top of the expensive vet bills. It would be roughly $40 a day just for Fabio to be down there and then they would not get any out time down there.
