Hello everyone and welcome back to Age of Wonders 4! Today, the Ever-Chosen Destroyer faces war on three fronts. The on-going war against the Relentless Crusader is a given, but the overzealous Champion of the Dark Pantheon willingly wielded a double-edged sword against Blint at 36:47, which resulted in seizing another city to raze at 41:30, capitalizing on Blint's positional error at 57:29, and ultimately signing a temporary peace treaty at 1:20:05. Only for the other Industrious faction to declare at 1:22:44. The newly dubbed Champion of Khorne helps lead the first counterattack against Yria at 1:44:47, but Isgrimm has other plans about our assault against a fellow Circle Mage. Thanks for watching!

I agree with you 100% I am a newer subscriber but the stories and characters he makes are always so interesting and they always grab my attention which is not an easy thing as I have an extremely short attention span but with fabes videos I almost always watch them all the way through in one sitting

The reason you won that impossible battle in Blint's city is cause those four bastions that spawned earlier in the fight against you now spawned on your side. I once had the same thing happen and found that out myself awhile back. You probably could have refought it to save your berserker if you knew this fact. Also, spawning 4 bastions on the defenders side due to a mere building is total BS.

LMAO, I really wish I had thought of that so I could personally see how he likes fighting 4 Bastions out of thin air. Thanks for resolving that curiosity! You are 100% right, and I wish it would go away.

@@richyrich6099 I think it's meant to be 2, because 2 spawn at the start and 2 more spawn when the enemy ends their first turn. Either way, I'm fine with 2 Bastion summons.

For the everchosen of chaos Archaon is quite orky in getting stuck in as many fights as possible as quickly as possible

For the glory of Clan Pestilensssss~ Jests aside, there was a note in the 1.3 update about changing the AI logic to be more willing to pick up twinned Affinity Tomes when ones of the Affinities matched their personality; unfortunately, I think it's unlikely because Solitary Isolationist is neither Shadow nor Nature aligned.

1:47:20 Yeah, You can expand there. If You'll look at capital center province - it's like 3-4 provinces away - that's if You claim toward it via all that juicy mana node provinces and clearing city ruins. The 'northen' claims are for now 2 far unless You build main building upgrades or take Nature +2 expand perk. Cheers!

As long as you keep razing cities at a decent rate, war slaves will give you far more population than you will ever get from normal growth (even with a farmers guild) so investing anything in food structures is kind of wasteful. I would probably go for a scholars guild, as research is probably the most difficult thing to keep high with chosen destroyers. Alternative you could go for the the workers guild for higher production, then change it later for a scholars guild (or something else) when most of the buildings you can make are done.

I think you're on to something, and my habits of ignoring Food are pretty hard to ignore. I'll probably go Worker's Guild to try and counteract the Perfectionist Artisan and then switch in to Scholar's Guild to start pumping towards Chaos Lord.

About half way thru, great episode. U and Blint at it again 😂. I like how tense it's getting. Enemies are adding up quick! And the 4 Bastions summon, umm gotta call karma on that, ur like the King of fake units 😂, u always take the summon with ur heroes 😂. I think I've seen you click the summon so fast that the screen barely finished loading all the skills 😂. And I think there is a Shadow affinity skill that let's u heal in hostile territory, may be far up the tree thou 🤔

It *is* a little bit of karma, and it's supremely ironic that it's only a feature of the Industrious Culture, which of course is ever-present thanks to Blint's memetastic status. C'est la vie~ There is a Shadow Imperium Trait that lets you heal in enemy territory, and it's supremely useful! Unfortunately, it's in the latter half of the tree, so it'll be some time before we get there. Thanks to Tome of the Doomherald, I should be able to pick it up this playthrough... eventually.

I take Soil Tenders every game that I have nature affinity. More growth equals more economic power everytime.

Did they fix the AI for diggy, diggy? Especially for the underground free cities?

They fixed diggy diggy for AI players, but the Free Cities still do not diggy diggy and remained trapped. I think it has to do with Free Cities following a different set of scripts but I honestly have no idea. Fingers crossed that they will one day be allowed to free themselves. 🤞

The mod that gives second transformation option, is updated properly, Spavnkin gives evasion to Heroes, just didn't bother with updating the Steam Page

That's good to know! I was referencing a mod called Spawnkin Does (Not) Make You Small, which afaik still uses the old Spawnkin.

I only know about Old World Archaon, so that's what I was inspired by. I have a feeling AoS Archaon would be *too* powerful for AOW4. XD
