I live in Waterloo Ontario and sad to say , I basically have needed to not only be open that God could help me find the truth but I really have to search and pray for the truth , through Scripture CCC and tradition. I truly desired to find and be able to defend and help others find truth. Having said that faithful need to be taught by our priests , so we must pray for them to have courage to teach and preach the truth to the faithful. This is all in short what I am trying to say thank you🙏❤️🌹🕊

@@tony1685 Ok I'll bite how does the Catholic Church teach contrary to the ten commandments?.....Yes the ten commandments are important but they are just a portion of the precepts of God. Jesus Himself established the Catholic Church. And by His coming to earth He brought us an even greater understanding of what God was trying to teach man. The ten commandments was just a beginning. Our history is traceable right back to St Peter. The Catholic Church which by the way holds the bodies of body St Peter and St Paul, which is not necessary for salvation but is evidence of it's being around at the time of their death. These two men were held in high esteem and honor as far as the church is concerned and the first believers knew exactly where their remains were buried. Then at the time of Constantine, emperor Constantine when he legalized Catholicism, he went to the church and asked where the bodies of the Princes of our church were buried, and requested their exhumation and he had them reburied under the main alter of the Churches named after them. Again not essential for salvation but do please tell me how the Catholic Church does the teach contrary to the ten commandments. Now if you are talking about the protestant version of the ten commandments, which obviously came about some 1600 years after the Church began, and obviously based upon a man's trying to usurp the Authority Christ gave to St Peter. In speaking of The Priesthood of Aaron, which is a type of the Priesthood to come that now exists in the Catholic Church, The Bible in both the old and new testament says "No man takes this authority unto himself but only those as called by God as Aaron was". ...That said, by what authority do you make your claim? Authority matters and outside of the Catholic Church it's just people trying to interpret the Bible using their own reasoning. Take the words of Jesus where He said to His disciples, "He who listens to you listens to me, he who rejects you rejects Me and the Father who sent Me." ....Granted all the baptized are considered a holy race and a royal priesthood, but not in the sense of Ordained Priests. When Jesus gave Peter the keys to the Kingdom, and said whatsoever you Bind on earth shall be bound in heaven and whatsoever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven," in short He said "If you say it down here Pete I will rubber stamp it in Heaven". The early Church was the one to interpret for us the wording of the ten commandments that we still follow today. The Catholic Church didn't pop up 1600 years later and say well I disagree with what the Church taught for sixteen hundred years so I say these are the ten commandments. It's all in the understanding and the authority. This lack of protestant Authority is self evidenced by the fact that we now have some thirty thousand denominations of Christianity. Is that the oneness that Jesus sought when He said the words "I pray that they be one as you and I are one" Now the verses I quoted are paraphrased but all the answers to your concerns can be found in the scriptures if they are properly read. Confession John 20 : verses 19 through 23. The real Presence of Christ in The Eucharist/Communion John 6.: 53 as well as the Last supper accounts and Paul's accounting in First Corinthians in either chapter 11, 12, or 13. (Forgive my memory) but it's all in the good book. I hope this helps to set you on a path to the Church that Jesus Established. God Bless.

@@tony1685 I figured you was getting at the Carved and graven thing. But something for you to consider is the same God who commanded "Make nothing carved or graven nor bow down to worship it" also commanded Moses to use an image of a serpent to heal the sick Hebrew people. As we the same God also commanded that two "Cherubim" with wingspans over the ark of the covenant. Typing on a keyboard on a phone is a bit tough. But if you ever change your mind about the church you are now attending. The Catholic Church still has a seat for you. I did non denominational for about 9 months in the latter 90's. But God gave me what I needed to hear and brought me back. Take care and God bless.

@@tony1685 Regarding the Sabbath and the Lord's day, the early Church practiced on the day of the Lord's Resurrection. I often wonder if this was partially done to avoid conflict with the Jews on their Sabbath. But the things you touch on are of the old covenant and they were given to God's chosen Jewish people. We no longer are under the old covenant. We are under the new cover in Christ's blood. If we were under the old covenant, we would be out from under God's Grace.

In summary: Sound doctrine: "...to protect the church AND protect the faithful AND to protect the faith...". False doctrine does not have all those 3 goals in mind. We need to be wary of believing people who are promoting the love of fables, myths and legends over the love of sound doctrine while sharing of the good news with others. We cradle Catholics need to remind ourselves at least once a week on how to avoid exalting to divinity any hero other than OUR Lord too.

"... as reasonably well educated Catholics", yet what becomes of us if Michael makes his stand before Jesus returns in a place where leaders continually implore us to be on the look-out for Jesus instead? For if Daniel is a false prophet, as written in (Daniel 12:1), then speaking about Fables, Myths and Legends is a brilliant subject given current world events! In Roman Catholic teachings, Michael has four main roles or offices. His first role is the leader of the Army of God, and he is viewed as the angelic model for the virtues of the spiritual warrior, with the conflict against evil at times viewed as the battle within. The second and third roles of Michael in Catholic teachings deal with death, as Michael is known as the Angel of Death. And in his fourth role, Michael is known as the patron of the chosen people in the Old Testament; is also the Guardian of the Church, and the Tree of Life. So as a reasonably well educated Catholic, Fr. Meeks, in pointing towards the four horsemen in Revelation, I would ask if you are quite certain that among them is not Michael? After all, logically speaking, when does an effect ever lead or proceed the causes unless in its Heart can only be found the Will to Live? Those of us who do NOT embrace the majesterum are vehemently assured and convinced that we are also organically connected to the communion of Saints outside of the RC Church.

The RC Church is NOT the one, unique true Church which is the only Church who preaches the gospel of Christ and is the means of saving grace ecclesiastically. Your pope is a heretic and schism is taking place as a result of the current synodical sessions.
