I keep a small food storage container of chalkboard chalk near my cutting mat. It's multi colored, so the options are many! It's also useful for those of time when a ruler & blade aren't your best choice. I lay the pattern down, then trace so that the chalk is partially on the pattern piece, then remove pattern and cut at the straight edge left by the pattern edge. Works great!

For dark fabric I love the clover Chaco liner. It not only come in white but I think pink, blue and yellow. I only have the white and looooove it. Oh and it’s refillable.

Prym cartridge pencil fine and clover chalk pen have been the best for marking black/ dark colours. After much spending and trying many these both are the best.

Love your reviews they always brighten my day 💚 It was a nice change of scenery even though you didn’t have a naughty corner lol, I actually have all of these markers including some that look like the “chalk pens” that you said were no good so thanks for saving me from using them 😅

I've heard Frixion pens/markers are good, too. Might treat myself to a pack since they are also on sale right now with the school supplies and come in a bunch of fun colors. I personally use tailor's chalk, but it can sometimes be a pain on knits since you have to pull the chalk across the fabric instead of just dotting your way along.
@azaleasmom14 жыл бұрын
Serena Bonnema Careful with the friction pens. ALthough the marks will disappear with the heat, it reappears when the fabric gets cold! YIKES~!

I was just in Hobby Lobby today and they had a full line of those white, blue and red. They (Sewology Brand) are 50% off this week too. Maybe their inventory finally got off "the boat". :)

Please rinse your washable marker out well! I have seen quilts where these markets were removed with only a cloth and the ink will go somewhere else in the fabric/lining and cause corrugated stains later!
